The Children category contains everything for toddlers and children. These are special objects that can only be used by toddlers and children, although older ages can play with the toddler or child to satisfy the Social need. Toys that can only be played with by toddlers are designed to build their skills, whilst also satisfying Fun.

The high chair is where toddlers are placed to eat and drink. Teens or older can place them in the chair. Toddlers cannot get into the chair by themselves, neither can they get out without assistance. The high chair can get dirty, causing the toddler's Hygiene to drop. If a toddler in the chair has low needs, they will cry and complain.

The toy bin is full of toys for toddlers and children to play with. Toddlers cannot get toys out themselves until they've learnt to walk, so they'll have to rely on other Sims to get a toy out. If there are toys out of the box, Sims can tidy them away. Children can play together to increase Social.

The potty chair is where toddlers can satisfy their Bladder need. Using the potty builds their Potty Training skill. Teens or older Sims must teach toddlers to use the potty, which takes time. Once potty trained, toddlers can use the potty without an older Sim's supervision. The potty gets full from use, causing the Empty interaction to appear. Emptying a potty increases the Environment score.

Only toddlers and children can play with the dollhouse. They can also play with other Sims, including teens and older. Sims can also watch other Sims play with the dollhouse. Sims can destroy dollhouses, which must be cleaned up afterwards. Sims may do this autonomously when they're in a bad mood.

This is where toddlers and babies sleep. Teens or older can put babies/toddlers in the crib, as well as let them out. Babies and toddlers cannot get in alone, but toddlers may autonomously sneak out if they're crying. If Energy is low enough, they'll go to sleep, otherwise they'll just sit in the crib. If Energy is high enough, toddlers will cry and rattle the bars. Sleeping babies and toddlers can be tucked in.
