Beds are a good way for your Sims to get some sleep and fulfil their Energy need. The lower-quality beds do not fill the Energy bar all the way to the top, but the highest-quality beds do. Beds ideally should be placed inside shelters or under roofs, since rain will wake your sleeping Sims. Higher-quality beds require Logic and even Creativity Skill, as well as the hammer and chisel tools. However, they do provide extra Energy, as well as a good Room score and improving the Comfort motive.
