Unless you don't mind your Sims wearing their old torn clothes and are happy to wear clothing found in crates washed up on the beaches, sooner or later you'll want to craft your own clothes for your Sims to wear. At the start, you can only craft clothes made out of vines and leaves, but as your Sims improve their Creativity Skill and unlock better crafting benches, you'll be able to create clothes that are just as good as the ones you were wearing back in civilisation.
Most clothes can be worn by male and female Sims, but some clothes are exclusive to either male or female Sims. Your Sims must wear a top and bottom at least, but they can accessorise their outfits with shoes, hats and jewellery.
