SHOOP DA WHOOP!!! WELCOME TO MY USER TALK PAGE. If you want to ask me questions, post it below the "Post questions below" section. I'll only accept questions that talk about Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Brawl.

Welcome to StrategyWiki!

Hello Shoop! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide or visit the IRC channel to chat, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. To keep up-to-date with the goings on of the wiki, consider adding the noticeboard to your watchlist.

Please remember to sign your name when leaving comments on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to delete this message from your talk page if you like, or keep it for reference. Happy editing! — Moydow T · C 16:05, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

A question

Do we delete user pages, Moydow? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shoop (talkcontribs) .

First, always sign your posts on talk pages with four tildes. Second, you asked first on my talk page. I replied there, as I usually do, and will do so unless you request otherwise. Moydow T · C 16:05, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

The Hidden Mansion

Do not create pages like this (incorrectly titled, and obviously copy-pasted from here), then immediately request their deletion. We know you created the page, and requested its deletion. This will get you closer to an infinite ban than the administration. Moydow T · C 02:42, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

REALLY???

Really? I'm close to becoming an Administrator? Oh, I'm so excited! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shoop (talkcontribs) .

That's not what Moydow meant. He meant if you keep doing the wrong thing (ex: copying something, putting it onto another page and then putting it up for deletion) then you will get banned instead of becoming an administrator. --E-123Wario54The Temple of TalkFFI black mage (8-bit).gif 02:06, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Okay, okay, okay. I'm sorry Moydow for creating the page for the Hidden Mansion okay. Just don't make me sad okay? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shoop (talkcontribs) .

Don't worry about it, it's just his job to find out who's really a vandal. It seems like you have good intentions though, so if you contribute the way you're supposed to, he won't ban you. --E-123Wario54The Temple of TalkFFI black mage (8-bit).gif 03:08, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

But, will I still become an administrator when I make the best quality of edits? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shoop (talkcontribs) .

It is possible. But you've got a lot to learn yet. Read through the StrategyWiki:Guide and Featured Guides, and get to know how things work here first. Then, you should start editing in the main namespace (ie. the actual guides) wherever you notice something missing or incorrect. These can be adding new, helpful information, or small things like spelling errors. I can help you, but you'll need to be willing to learn. One thing you should start doing is signing on talk pages correctly. Type the following after your posts, though not on guide pages: ~~~~. The {{unsigned}} template is something I use only if you haven't done that. It isn't how you actually sign. Moydow T · C 14:44, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Shoop, I'm going to put it in very plain terms:
  • People who strive to become among the best StrategyWiki contributors typically become administrators.
  • People who strive to become administrators typically get banned.
Choose your path wisely. Procyon 15:40, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

I choose the first answer. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shoop (talkcontribs) .

A question

What's the problem for the page for The Hidden Mansion? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shoop (talkcontribs) .

The problem is that it already exists under a correct title, the page you created was essentially a copy-paste of the correct page, and immediately after creating it, you marked it for deletion. Moydow T · C 16:32, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Lost password

EEK!!! I forgot my password! Could you block me and let me create a new account? This is because, for no reason, I forgot my password. Could you block me indefinetley? Just don't block my account creation okay Moydow? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shoop (talkcontribs) .

If you have registered your email address, you can request that your password be sent to you the next time you need to log in. Also, please sign posts on talk pages with four tildes. And remove the deletion request from your userpage; you need a better reason than 'badly written' for that to happen, and I cannot see such a situation ever occuring. Moydow T · C 16:36, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Please stop

Look, Shoop, I was trying to be subtle about this, but since you insist on continuing down this track of conversation, I have to tell you that your behavior on this site is not helping you one bit. None of the administrators on this site ever once asked "how do I become an administrator?" They were all nominated by the community for their tremendous commitment and contributions to the site. You have shown neither a commitment to improving as an editor (you can't even remember how to sign your own talk posts properly despite being reminded several times by other sysops), nor any effort to contribute any information of value to the site. If anything, you are farther from becoming an administrator than someone who just joined the site as a brand new user. If becoming an administrator is so important to you, stop acting like a child, and start acting like a valuable contributor to the site. Create content that is correct the first time so that no sysop has to come along behind you and correct it. Create content that can serve as a model to other users. Be experienced enough with the site to know how to answer difficult questions if a new user ever has one. From what I can see, you haven't once made a single edit to any game guide. How can you become an administrator if you don't even know how to use the site?? It typically takes six solid months of valuable contributions to the site before anyone will even think about nominating you for sysop. Not only are you no where near that, but you're behavior is taking you backwards. If your only ambition is to become an administrator, then you can stop right now and forget about it. If, on the other hand, you are interested in becoming a valued member of the community by contributing impressive content, then you may have a chance at becoming an administrator. Lastly, I want to make one thing very clear:

  • If I see you asking how to become an administrator one more time, you will receive a short ban from the site.

Every time you continue to ask, the ban will get progressively longer and longer until you are permanently no longer welcome to the site. I hope we are clear on this matter. Good luck, Procyon 17:27, 11 August 2010 (UTC)

Okay, okay. I'll stop asking, so I'll try to become an administrator myself without asking you okay? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shoop (talkcontribs) .
