Welcome to StrategyWiki!

Hello ThatLuciano! Welcome to StrategyWiki. Thank you for your contributions. If you have any questions, just contact a sysop through their talk page or post on the staff lounge, and they'd be happy to help. If you need help editing, check the StrategyWiki Guide or visit the IRC channel to chat, we're usually around. On the other hand, if you have ideas for StrategyWiki, bring them up on the forums. To keep up-to-date with the goings on of the wiki, consider adding the noticeboard to your watchlist.

Please remember to sign your name when leaving comments on talk pages by clicking Wikisigbutton.png or using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Welcome back! We could definitely use your help wherever you can. What games have you been playing lately? --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 06:14, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
Well more recently I've been playing plenty of indie games on Steam from the most recent Humble Bundle like Bastion, Braid, and Limbo. ThatLuciano (talk) 06:44, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
Oh, yeah, I heard about that thing. I'm too broke atm. I wanted to pay to unlock that one other, game. I can't remember the name... Anyways, I hope you can add some info for those guides. =) --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 23:30, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Nice image additions :). -- Prod (Talk) 06:06, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll be done with the rest tomorrow. ThatLuciano 06:53, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Just a heads up, we featured your awesome work on our Facebook page :) Procyon 00:11, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
Wow thanks, I apreciate all of this and I'll continue to add more to this wiki. ThatLuciano 22:14, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Some helpful advice

Hey there. Congrats on getting the Super Mario Land guide started. I just wanted to offer some advice that you should feel free to take or ignore. I try to follow a philosophy of "less is more," and only report highlights of stages instead of every detail. For example, I wouldn't mention regular "?" boxes that contain coins since over 90% of them do, or talk about enemies that don't require above-average strategies to defeat. The reason for this is twofold; you don't want to inundate the reader with too much information, making it difficult for them to find the help they're looking for. The other reason, speaking from personal experience, is so that you don't burn out. I find that when I try to cover everything, I tend to regret that choice by the third or fourth stage. Keep up the great work. Procyon 22:33, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

Wario Land 4/Entry Passage

It doesn't look like all the information was moved to the walkthrough page, or is the info just redundant? -- Prod (Talk) 19:58, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

I moved only the story and Entry Passage parts to the walkthrough page, but the Hall of Hieroglyphs and Spoiled Rotten sections were moved to their own respected pages; Wario Land 4/Hall of Hieroglyphs and Wario Land 4/Spoiled Rotten. It was my bad since I copy/pasted the same deletion reason from all the pages I wanted deleted in this walkthrough. Next time, I'll have a closer look at what I put. - ThatLuciano 17:22, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
If the page is being split up, rather than merged with other pages, it's best to move it to one of the new locations and delete the unwanted content. This way you maintain the edit history of the people who contributed to the page before. -- Prod (Talk) 17:38, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice, I should have thought that through. I'll remember this for next time. - ThatLuciano 19:27, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Sonic Adventure/Sonic/Prologue

Can you please add a link to that page on the table of contents? Don't want to lose track of any pages. -- Prod (Talk) 21:27, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for catching my mistake *knocks on forehead*. I thought I had placed it there but apparently was not the case. - ThatLuciano 21:41, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

I take it you're looking to merge the two pages? -- Prod (Talk) 22:29, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

Oh I see what you're doing. I'll take care of cleaning up the edit histories, just leave the two pages as is and do whatever you need. -- Prod (Talk) 23:26, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks again for all your help. - ThatLuciano 22:33, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

Sonic Mega Collection

Really just suggesting that we have to separate pages. One for each version. -- Prod (Talk) 09:40, 5 November 2011 (UTC)

Walkthrough layouts

I really like the image navigation layouts you have come up with. They are very similar to the character select tables we've had for some fighting games. Did you get the idea from that? --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 20:12, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

I got the idea from the Contra (NES) guide (which was one of the first guides I saw when I was browsing the site for reference help for other pages) and it had images in its walkthrough page, but the problem was that they didn't lead to their stage just their picture. Then later I was looking at some of the King of Fighters' guides and I saw that they had linking images. So I used some of the wiki syntax from KoF and put both ideas together. I guess I just ripped off the idea from whoever made the Contra guide. --ThatLuciano (talk) 21:53, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
That would be Procyon (talk · contribs). I updated the Contra page with links =) --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 07:23, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
Haha nice. He's an innovator around here. --ThatLuciano (talk) 07:34, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Redirects to categories

Remember that code like [[Category:Categoryname]] actually adds that page to the category, so on redirects and guide pages you have to make sure to use [[:Category:Categoryname]] to make it into a plain link. See this for the change I made. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 07:02, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

By the way, thanks for all your help with updating company pages (and everything else you do)! --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 07:03, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the tip I'll keep that in mind. Not a problem I'll keep on helping out here. --ThatLuciano (talk) 06:46, 5 September 2012 (UTC)

Collapsible lists for infoboxes

Please do not add collapsible lists unless a cell is really big (like 8+ rows). For small sections, just use {{sys}}. Thanks! --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 17:02, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

Thank you

Thanks again!
Thanks again!
A little thank you…
For cleaning up the Bionic Commando (NES) links.
