Once Valkyrie and Kurino Sandra reappear in a cavern, start walking forward by pushing your joystick into its "northern" position, as four Blue Honorians come hovering towards you; once you have fired a shot from your sword (or trident) at each of these to kill them, they will each leave a small coin (worth five in gold) behind. Once you have collected all these, two groups of two Black Fly Drills will come flying towards you, from the left and right sides of the screen - and once you have fired a shot from your sword or trident at each of these to kill them, they will each leave a small coin behind. Once you have collected them all, six Gray Goblins will emerge from the ground and start walking towards you, while throwing three of their spears at you; once you fire a shot from your sword or trident at each of them to kill them, they will each leave a small coin behind. Once you have collected them all, you must walk through the doorway in the wall at the top of the screen by pushing your joystick into the "northern" position as four more Gray Goblins emerge from the ground and start walking towards you while throwing their red bombs at you - and once you have fired a shot from your sword or trident at each of them to kill them, they will each leave a small coin behind. Once you have collected them all, five more Blue Honorians will come hovering towards you; once you have fired a shot from your sword or trident at each of them to kill them, they will each leave a small coin behind. Once you have collected them all, the door in the wall at the top of the screen will slide up - and once you have walked through it, by pushing your joystick into the "northern" position, you will come up to the travelling salesman Zoul in the centre of the screen. Once one player has walked up to him and entered his realm, the other one will automatically be drawn in as well; once Valkyrie and Sandra have reappeared in Zoul's realm, he will speak that Hiragana text Irasshaimase. (いらっしゃいませ) to them before asking the first player to choose from a Homing Shot (crossbow) for 3000 in gold, a Bomb (three bombs) for 4000 in gold and a Magic Ball (a large "magic bubble") for 5000 in gold. You must push your joystick into the "north-western" position to select the first item, the "northern" position to select the second item and the "north-eastern" position to select the third item then press the Firing Button to confirm your choice - and once Valkyrie has paid Zoul for her chosen special weapon, he will ask the second player to choose between the two remaining items. You cannot push your joystick into the position of the absent item; once Sandra has paid Zoul for his chosen special weapon both he and Valkyrie shall exit Zoul's realm (they can also do this if they cannot afford to pay him for an item by pushing the joystick down into the "southern" position), and reappear in the stage proper.

Once Valkyrie and Sandra have reappeared in the stage proper, they will have to walk back out through the doorway in the wall by pushing the joystick into the "southern" position and continue walking to the left by pushing your joystick into the "west" position as four more Blue Honorians hover towards you; once you have fired a Homing or Bomb shot from your sword or trident at each of them to kill them, they will each leave a small coin behind. Once you have collected them all, a second door in the wall at the top of the screen will slide open - and once you walk through it by pushing the joystick into the "northern" position, you will come to three indestructible black maces (similar to the ones that the Dadatta were swinging around their heads before they threw them at you in the fourth stage), rotating in an anticlockwise direction on their stands. Once you've managed to find a way around them, two more Blue Honorians will come hovering towards you; once you have fired out a Homing or Bomb shot from your sword or trident at both of them to kill them, they will both leave a small coin behind. Once you've collected them both, a third door in that wall on that right side of the screen will slide open - and once you've walked through it by pushing your joystick into the "eastern" position, you'll come to two indestructible spiked balls which are hovering back and forth at the top of the screen, above a green chest (which contains a Through Shot). Once you've managed to find a way around both of the indestructible spiked balls, opened the chest, then collected your spear, you will have the opportunity to blast a hole in the wall at the top of the screen; once you've walked through the blasted hole in the wall, by pushing the joystick into the "northern" position, you will come to four more chests (two red and two green). The two green chests contain: a Heart Plate, and a Magic Book, respectively, but the two red chests contain a group of eight Orange Honorians and a Red Kaox respectively so you should be ready to fire a Through shot from your sword or trident at each of them to kill them once you have collected both of the special weapons. They'll each leave a small coin behind when killed (the Red Kaox will leave four), and once you've walked back out through the blasted hole in the wall by pushing the joystick into the "southern" position, a fourth door in the wall on the right side of the screen will slide open. Once you have walked through it, by pushing your joysticks into the "eastern" position, you will have to continue walking downwards by pushing the joystick into the "southern" position, as ten more Gray Goblins emerge from the ground and walk towards you while throwing three of their spears at you - and once you've fired a Through shot from your sword (or trident) at each of them to kill them, they will each leave a small coin behind. Once you have collected all these, a fifth door in that wall at the bottom of the screen will slide open; once you have walked through it by pushing your joystick into that "southern" position, four more Blue Honorians will come hovering towards you. Once you've fired a Through shot from your sword (or trident) at each of them, to kill them, they'll each leave a small coin behind - and once you have collected them all, you will have to continue walking to the left by pushing the joystick into the "western" position as you come back to the first and second doorways in the wall at the top of the screen. Once you walk through the second doorway in the wall at the screen's top (for a second time), a sixth door in the wall on the screen's left side will slide open; once you have walked through it by pushing the joystick into the "western" position, you will come to four pairs of stands (similar to those that the three indestructible black maces were rotating on) moving up and down on the left and right sides of the screen, while generating electrical currents that you will have to jump over in the centre of the screen. Once you have jumped over all the electrical currents two Gold Robotians will come walking towards you while firing lasers from their heads at you - and once you have fired a Through shot from your sword or trident at both of them to kill them (they will not leave anything behind), a seventh door in that wall on the right side of the screen will slide open. Once you have walked through it by pushing your joystick into the "eastern" position ten Logs will bounce towards you while five more Blue Honorians hover towards you; once you have fired a Through shot from your sword or trident at each of them to kill them, they'll each leave a large coin (worth twenty in gold) behind. Once you have collected them all, an eighth door found in the wall on the right side of the screen will slide open - and once you have walked through it by pushing the joystick into the "eastern" position, you will come to the travelling salesman Zoul in the centre of the screen. Again, when one player has walked up to him and entered his realm, the other one will automatically be drawn in as well as the song that you'd been hearing from the Yamaha YM-2151 fades into Zoul's theme.

Once Valkyrie and Sandra have reappeared in Zoul's realm, he will speak the Hiragana text Irasshaimase. (いらっしゃいませ) to them before proceeding to ask the first player to choose from a Wide Beam (shield) for 3000 in gold, a Through Shot (spear) for 4000 in gold, and a Homing Shot (crossbow) for 5000 in gold; again, you must push your joystick into the "north-western" position to select that first item, the "northern" position to select the second item and the "north-eastern" position to select the third item, then press on the Firing Button to confirm your choice. Once Valkyrie has paid Zoul for her chosen special weapon, he will ask the second player to choose between the two remaining items - and you will again not be able to push your joystick into the position of the absent item. Once Sandra has paid Zoul for his chosen special weapon both he and Valkyrie shall exit Zoul's realm (once again, they can also do it voluntarily if they can't afford to pay him by pushing your joystick into the "southern" position) and reappear back in the stage proper.

Once Valkyrie and Sandra have reappeared (back in the stage proper), a ninth door in the wall at top of the screen will slide open; once you've walked through it by pushing the joystick into the "northern" position, four more Gray Goblins will emerge from the ground, and start walking towards you while throwing their red bombs at you. Once you have fired a Wide, Through or Homing shot from your sword or trident at each of them to kill them, they will each leave a small coin behind - and once you have collected all these, a tenth door in that wall on the left side of the screen will slide open. Once you have walked through it by pushing the joystick into the "western" position, two indestructible blocks of ice will come sliding towards you; once you have moved out of their way, five more Blue Honorians will come hovering towards you. Once you've fired a Wide, Through or Homing shot from your sword or trident at each of them to kill them, they'll each leave a small coin behind - and once you have collected all these, an eleventh door in the wall at the top of the screen will slide open. Once you've walked through it, by pushing your joystick into the "northern" position, four more indestructible blocks of ice will come sliding towards you; once you've moved out of their way, a twelfth door in the wall at the top of the screen will slide open. Once you have walked through it by pushing the joystick into the "northern" position, the song you are hearing from the Yamaha YM-2151 will change as you come to Snow Bird - the boss of this stage, and the only one in the game who possesses the ability to fly (the Magma Dokusasu, who was the boss of the third stage, only possessed the ability to hover). He attacks by spitting rings of electricity at Valkyrie and Sandra while dropping enormous purple spikes on them, and once you've fired enough Wide, Through, or Homing shots from your sword or trident at him to kill him, he will leave ten small coins behind; once you have collected them all, the screen will fade out and you will receive a 20000-point bonus and 1200 in gold (the second 4-figure gold bonus).
