During the game you will face many enemies, very different from each other, with the most disparate equipment. In the prologue you will even have to deal with animals. However, as you progress through the game, you will realize that, albeit with some variations, the same types of enemies tend to repeat themselves. The main categories are listed below:

Warriors: they are generally equipped with a sword, a shield and heavy armor. They have limited mobility. Despite their high HP value, they are the easiest enemies to defeat, given the predictability and short range of their attacks. They are usually the first to come forward in battle and are more of a nuisance than a threat. More than anything, they will slow down your group as it tries to advance. They usually attack in groups. Sometimes they may also have greater mobility and be armed with daggers.

Archers: Enemies equipped with a bow or a thrown weapon, with medium mobility. If you encounter them on flat ground they don't pose much of a threat and can be easily eliminated. However, if they are at a high point they can become extremely dangerous, because the higher they are, the greater the range and power of their attacks. In these cases, you must keep an eye on them and avoid their attacks, trying to reach and defeat them as soon as possible.

Wingers: Enemies with winged armor, typically equipped with a sword or spear. They are usually far from your group at the start of battles, but they can get close very quickly. Although they can be easily eliminated due to their low HP, it is best to keep an eye on them as their attacks are quite powerful, especially if they are holding a spear.

Wizards: Enemies equipped with a mage robe and a magic staff. They are undoubtedly the most dangerous enemies you will encounter on the battlefield, because with their spells they can hit several characters at once from a great distance. They can also sometimes heal enemy units or paralyze/poison your characters. You must eliminate them as soon as possible with your spells, attack items or long-range weapons. Fortunately, they have low HP so a couple of attacks are usually enough to take them out.

Bosses: every now and then in the battlefields you will encounter a "boss" to defeat, who is one of the characters in the story. These are much more powerful enemies than the others, with a very high HP value. It is enough to defeat them to conclude the battle victoriously, even without eliminating the other enemies. However, bosses are generally found at the opposite end of the battlefield from where you start the fight and only start to come forward after eliminating most of the enemy units. Usually you will therefore still be forced to defeat all the enemies, or almost all of them before facing the boss. In the advanced stages of the game you can also encounter more than one boss in the same battlefield.
