Picking Up Spares

Medal requirements
Bronze Medal 7 pts
Silver Medal 12 pts
Gold Medal 17 pts
Platinum Medal 20 pts

The rules for this practice are simple. You must roll the ball down the lane to knock down all the pins on that lane. You have 5 chances to clear all 20 lanes.

Lining up your person before you throw is the key factor here. Make it so that the ball will knock down all the pins. If you hit the pin at an angle, the pin will fall down at an angle which can help knock down pins at the later stages of the challenge. You probably don't need to curve the ball much but it may help. If you can make it near the end, you must use more skilled throws and even clear splits!

This is a fun and crazy challenge! The goal here to knock down as many as pins you can. If you get a strike, you will get twice as many pins on that lane added to your total! There are ten stages and the number of pins that are on each lane grows and grows as you go on. They range from an easy 10 pins to an eye-popping 91 pins!

It sounds strange but don't bowl at the top pin head on. (The top pin is colored red.) This could leave pins standing up near the corners. Try throwing the ball so that it hits the top pin sideways by curving the ball. That way you hit the top pin will determine how the other pins will fall which can help getting pins when there are more pins to deal with.

A secret trick was slipped into this game mode. On the "91 pin" frame, if you can get the ball to roll on top of the rail, all the way down to the very back, without letting it roll off, it will hit a small red button that will shake the screen and knock all 91 pins down at once. The buttons can be found in the shadows on the ends of both the left and right rails.

In this challenge, you must now roll the ball down the lane to hit the one pin at the very end. Sounds easy, right? However, there are tons of things that stands between you and the pin. Hitting a block will stop the ball completely and you must bowl again. Like the "Picking up Spares" challenge, you have 5 chances to clear all 20 lanes and the harder stages have more obstacles to get around.

Like the name suggests, you must curve the ball around the obstacles to hit the pin. To curve the ball, press the B button and swing the Wii Remote backward. Then, you must twist the Remote to the desired direction before you release the B button. Skilled players can get around many stages (six to ten) without having to curve the ball. To do this, move your person around the obstacle and then twist your person so that it is aiming at the pin.
