From StrategyWiki, the video game walkthrough and strategy guide wiki

The different cities[edit]

Capturing cities can be done for many reasons, to plunder it, take it from someone else, change the nation of it or simply just to add it to your clan's list of cities.

Note: You need level 11 team to kill more soldiers when shooting a city. You need level 12 team to teamfence a city.

Dock
  • Dock - You cannot attack a dock even if it has soldiers in it.
City
  • City - The common city is the easiest city to attack and doesn't take many men to capture.
    • Amount of soldiers: 2000
    • Condition: 300-400
    • possible to shoot down to about 550 soldiers.
    • To capture it with success you need to shoot it down, with shatter ammo, so your crew or team crew gets at least 400 more soldiers then the city. Then you can fence it, and if needed, your teammates can join in to support with their crew.
City with Wall
  • City with Wall - A city with a wall doesn't get better defense then a city with no wall, so it is as easy to capture.
City with 1 Fort
  • City with 1 Fort - The 1 forted city is a bit harder to capture as it take longer time to shoot down, but you can stand in safety on the side it don't got a fort on, here it can't shoot you. Also you need someone to count the amount of soldiers and maybe hand out ammo, as when you shoot the city it refuses you access.
    • Amount of soldiers: 4000
    • Condition: 400-550
    • Possible to shoot down to about 800 soldiers
    • To capture it with success you need to shoot it down, with shatter ammo, so your crew or team crew got at least 500 more soldiers then the city. Then you fence and if needed your teammates join in to support with their crew.
City with 2 Forts
  • City with 2 Fort - The 1 forted city is the hardest to capture as it take long time to shoot down and most of them you can't stand in safety and shoot it, you have to watch out it don't hit you. Also you need someone to count the amount of soldiers and maybe hand out ammo, as when you shoot the city it refuses you access.
    • Amount of soldiers: 5000
    • Condition: 550-680
    • Possible to shoot down to about 1000 soldiers.
    • To capture it with success you need to shoot it down, with shatter ammo, so your crew or team crew got at least 500 more soldiers then the city. Then you fence and if needed your teammates join in to support with their crew.
City own by Others
  • City owned by others - Normally people get angry if a ally take their city, so don't do that unless you asked first. Enemy cities you can just take.
  • To see who owns it is easy, if a clan owns it the clan tag is next to the city name. If a person without clan owns it you can see it on the WoP web site.
    • Amount of soldiers: depend on the city owner, how many he or she put in it.
    • Condition: depend on the city, but is the same as if it was not own by anyone.
    • Possible to shoot down to about 350 soldiers.
    • To capture you just need the same amount of more crew as if it was not own by anyone.

After you capture a city with success[edit]

City Capture

When you capture the city you get a option the change the nation, if you want to keep it the nation it was you just have to press close. Pirate nation is not a option.

After you can plunder the town for whatever goods and ammo you can load on your ship.

Your city will have shield for 1 real time hour, when shield go off enemies can attack your town.

Governor

You go to the Governor, here is now a totally new setup as your the governor now.

  • Nationality of inhabitants - Shows you what nation the people really are.
  • Wealth of the city - Shows you how much gold the city has.
  • Income tax - ?
  • Soldiers - Shows you how many soldiers in the city, being added and max possible to add.
  • Revolt status - Shows you how far your town is from revolting.
  • Revolt points per day - This number should be green if the city is ok, if it turns red your city will begin to revolt unless your city is loyal then it cannot revolt.
  • Loyalty - Shows you how far until your city is loyal.
  • Gold to transfer
    • Send gold to city - This is only needed if you're not in a clan, if you are in clan the clanbank pays for soldiers, if not then you have to pay the soldiers in town by sending gold to it or else it revolts.
    • Withdraw gold - Here you can take out gold, if you're in a clan you can take out all gold you can see at the wealth of the city, if you're not in a clan taking out gold make the soldiers disappear.
  • Transfer soldiers (100 gold pay/soldier)
    • Hire soldiers - You can also hire soldiers to keep the city, it needs at least 100 soldiers to keep it from revolting.
    • Dismiss soldiers - You can now choose to let it revolt by dismissing any soldiers left in city. Or if city is loyal you can dismiss soldiers to not pay for them, but the city becomes an easy target for enemies.
