Here is a list of various items in the game that work to help Yoshi and Baby Mario.
Coins[edit]
- Yellow Coins: Your standard coin, worth 1 point.
- Blue Coins: A larger, blue colored coin, worth 2 points.
- Red Coins: The biggest coin, red in color, worth 4 points.
Others[edit]
- POW Block: By having this item drop onto solid ground, or by walking over it, it will destroy any enemies currently on screen, and turn them into coins.
- Super Star: Allows Baby Mario to become Super Baby Mario for a short period of time. Baby Mario is also invincible and cannot be defeated.
Fruit[edit]
- Apple: Have Yoshi eat this fruit to gain 1 additional egg.
- Banana: Have Yoshi eat this fruit to gain 3 additional eggs.
- Watermelon: Have Yoshi eat this fruit to gain 5 additional eggs.
- Grapes: Have Yoshi eat this fruit to gain 10 additional eggs.
- Melon: Have Yoshi eat this fruit to gain 20 additional eggs.
