- Find the Ottoman base and destroy their weapons caches.
Primary Objectives[edit]
- Defend the base from the Ottoman attack.
- Destroy all the Ottoman Weapons Caches. (8 total)
Secondary Objectives[edit]
- Claim the nearby Treasure. (300 XP)
- Build an Artillery Foundry and train at last 10 Hoop Throwers. (500 XP)
- Find a shipwreck and gather any supplies near it.
Main Strategy[edit]
When the mission starts, you get instructed to move the bombard forward. Do so, and try aiming its shots in the middle of the group. Withdraw the crossbowmen at the front line and try to get your explorer to use the special ability on the group of units.
Also, try to begin production, by creating settlers and collecting food and gold, which are needed. Soon, you will be given a new objective to build 10 hoop throwers, which you should do as well. By the time they are completed, the enemy will attack, either from the front or a two-pronged attack (one of which comes from the right side.)
After this attack, build up a retaliation force and head to the center. Bring the bombard with you, and have your forces destroy the stockade containing the Swiss pikemen. Take out their town center, then head to the right of the map to collect more prisoners. To ensure the attacks stop or slow down, you need to completely destroy the base's barracks and stables.
With the bombard and hoop throwers, you can easily clear out the caves to the north. However, you may want to collect experience from the final secondary objective by building a ship and transporting settlers and military units to a small island on the east. You can also obtain a bit more experience by building Galleons and destroying the enemy naval dock and Mosque from the east.
When you destroy the last weapons cache, a soldier will report that one of the explosions has unblocked a passage, ending the mission.
