いよいよ敵の母星へ、突人だっ!! (Iyoiyo teki no bosei he, totsujin da!!)

US: MOTHER STAR

Stage 27[edit]

Akkanvader Stage 27.png

This stage contains twenty-four Type 1 UFOs (in a horizontally-moving formation); because they are playing the part of regular invaders, they will, on the first and only occasion in the "SI" series be able to fire bullets down at you. Once you have fired a shot at each of these UFO-invaders, to kill them, your two chosen ships will begin moving forward, as they proceed to the twenty-eighth stage - which is the only one in this game where the invaders employ a circling formation.

Stage 28[edit]

Akkanvader Stage 28.png

This stage contains...one Type 1 Invader, two Type 2 Invaders, two Type 3 Invaders, two Type 4 Invaders, two Type 5 Invaders, two Type 6 Invaders, two Type 7 Invaders, two Type 8 Invaders, one Type 9 Invader, four Type 43 Invaders, four Type 44 Invaders, four Type 45 Invaders, and four Type 46 Invaders, in a circling formation; once you have fired a shot at all of these, to kill them, the text "COMPLETELY DESTROYED BONUS 30000" will appear on the screen. Your two chosen ships will then start moving forward, as two Type 1 Bonus Invaders escort two groups of ten Type 2 Bonus Invaders into view, from the left and right sides of the screen - and once you have fired off one shot at each of these to kill them two more Type 1 Bonus Invaders will fly into view (from the top-left and top-right corners of the screen). Once you have fired a shot at both of these, to kill them, two more Type 1 Bonus Invaders will escort two more groups of ten Type 2 Bonus Invaders into view from the left and right sides of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, your two chosen ships will stop moving forward again as the text of "STAGE 29" appears upon the screen.

Stage 29[edit]

Akkanvader Stage 29.png

This stage contains fifty Type 47 Invaders in a vertically- and horizontally-moving formation; once you have fired a shot at each of these ones to kill them your two chosen ships will start moving forward as they proceed to the thirtieth stage.

Stage 30[edit]

Akkanvader Stage 30.png

This stage is containing three Type 1 Invaders, three Type 2 Invaders, four Type 3 Invaders, four Type 4 Invaders, two Type 9 Invaders, seven Type 43 Invaders, seven Type 44 Invaders, seven Type 45 Invaders and lastly seven Type 46 Invaders in a horizontally-moving formation; once you have fired one shot at each of these, to kill them, seven Type 47 Invaders and six more Type 9 Invaders will drop down into view from the top of the screen and join the formation - and once you have fired a shot at all of these, to kill them, a fourth Type 1 Invader, two last Type 2 Invaders, two last Type 3 Invaders, two last Type 4 Invaders, two last Type 43 Invaders, two last Type 44 Invaders, two last Type 45 Invaders, and an eighth Type 46 Invader shall drop down into view from the top of the screen (and join the formation). Once you have fired a shot at each of these, to kill them, your two chosen ships will start moving forward, as they proceed to the thirty-first stage; unlike the penultimate stages of those four previous worlds this one is not going to be a bonus stage.

Stage 31[edit]

Akkanvader Stage 31.png

This stage contains Type 48 Invaders in a horizontally-moving formation, but some shall occasionally break away from the formation (to throw their bombs down at you); once you have fired out a shot at each of these to kill them, your two chosen ships will start moving forward as two Type 1 Bonus Invaders escort two groups of ten Type 2 Bonus Invaders into view, from the left and right sides of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, two more Type 1 Bonus Invaders will escort two final groups of ten more Type 2 Bonus Invaders into view from the left and right sides of the screen - and once you have fired off a shot at each of these twenty-two final Bonus Invaders to kill them...

Stage 32[edit]

Akkanvader Stage 32.png

...the game's "boss" theme will start to be heard from the ES-5505 for a fifth and final time, as the world's Boss Invader walks down into view from the top of the screen; it will then punch down towards your two chosen ships (with its arms), while firing eight spreading bullets down at them from its antennae (which can get blocked, for extra points). It will then start firing green, rectangular blocks (which, if you shoot them enough times, can get destroyed for extra points) at you from its eyes while launching a hail of Type 49 Invaders at you from its nose - and it will then start firing laser beams at you from its eyes while firing green, zigzag-shaped blocks (which, again, if you should shoot at them enough times can get destroyed for extra points) at you, from its nose. Once you've fired enough shots at it to defeat it, it will explode and fall over onto its back as a "King UFO" (and its two escorts) emerge from out of it and your two chosen pilots speak the Hiragana/Kanji text A! Ōsama no UFO ga, nigete iku zo! (あっ! 王様のUFOが、 逃げていくぞ!!) in the Japanese version; your two chosen ships will then start moving forward as an invader with a rickshaw cart blows up a bulging blockade of debris and tries to escape off the top of the screen. A lot of invaders shall then fly away off the top of the screen (which you can kill off for some final extra points), as the text of "CONGRATULATIONS! YOU DESTROYED FINAL WEAPON OF INVADERS THEN...THE EARTH IS SAVED! BONUS 50000 PTS" appears on the screen - and the screen will then fade out to the overworld map as the text "ALL WORLD CLEAR!!" appears on the screen. You can then sit back and enjoy the game's ending sequence:

JP: 地球の平様は、 (Chikyū no Hira-sama ha,)

われらが守る!! (Ware-ra ga mamoru!!)

US: WE'LL PROTECT
THE PEACE OF THE EARTH!

JP: われらが居るかぎり、 (Ware-ra ga iru kagiri,)

The camera will then move up to reveal a lot of dead invaders in the sky as the exploded first Boss Invader flies into view from the left side of the screen and speaks that Hiragana text Chikushō, oboe terō!! (ちくしょー、おぼえてろー!!) in the Japanese version; they will then all fly up off the top of the screen, and the text "GAME OVER" will drop down into view from it as the text "PRESENTED BY TAITO" (the "A" being their triangular logo, introduced in 1988) appears below it and the camera moves back down to reveal the Earth. The game will then go into high-score mode - and your scores will most likely be the two highest ones on the cabinet to date so you should enter your initials up at the top of the table with pride regardless of which way around they are positioned (however, the game forbids the initials "SEX", and if you try to enter them it will be changed to "AAA"). Once you have done so, the game will go back into attract mode; the Space Invaders will return to arcades for the video ticket-redemption game of Space Invaders: The Beat Attacker in 2008.

Note: If either, or both, of the players selects Benben and/or Penpen in both versions of the game, they will speak random toilet-related symbols instead of the standard phrases, and if either or both of the players selects Wanko and/or Nyanko in the Japanese version, they'll only speak the Hiragana texts of Wan (わん) and Nyan (にゃん), as they are Japanese onomatopoeia for barking and mewing; in the US version, where they were renamed to "Harry" and "Nancy" (the latter also becoming female), they'll only speak the texts "BOW" and "MEOW" instead, as they're English onomatopoeia for the same.
