Plants[edit]

Plant Leaves[edit]

Aquaria PlantLeaves.png

Plant leaves are by far the item in most demand throughout the game, as it is used in creating multiple types of healing items. Luckily, they are also found in a fair amount of abundance, though never as much as you might like.

Where to find:

  • Yanking up the plants in the ground with Bind will give you this items at random.
  • The fire-breathing seadragons in the Kelp Forest usually drop three when you kill them.
  • If you enter Mithalas by the transport plant, the jars there hold two or three.
  • Just outside the Sunken City entrance is a box containing three leaves.
  • If you use the transport plant in Naija's home, you can Bind some of the plants there (if you have the Seed Bag) and they usually have leaves/poultices.
  • Mermogs and Poison Mermogs sometimes drop them.

Red Berries[edit]

Aquaria RedBerries.png

Berries can flavor your ice cream and make a veggie cake to a special cake. Otherwise they are used for some special recipes like the Vulcano Roll or Hot Borscht.

Where to find:

  • Yanking up the plants in the ground with Bind will give you this items at random.
  • The best place to find the plants is the Kelp Forest and inside Naija's home if you have the Seed Bag.
  • There's also a single plant literally right outside of Naija's home. Pull it up, return back to her home to respawn, come back out and etcetera.

Green Bulbs[edit]

Aquaria GreenBulbs.png

They can be used for veggie soup instead of leaves.

Where to find:

  • Yanking up the plants in the ground with Bind will give you this item at random.
  • The best place to find the plants is the Kelp Forest and inside Naija's home if you have the Seed Bag.
  • There's also a single plant literally right outside of Naija's home. Pull it up, return back to her home to respawn, come back out and etcetera.

Mushrooms[edit]

Aquaria Mushroom.png

Used in life long soup, along with small tentacles.

  • Also used with Perogy to make Plump Perogy.

Where to find

  • Yanking up the plants in the ground with Bind will give you this items at random but rarely.
  • Yanking up plants above the Fish Cave will frequently give you mushrooms
  • In the Sunken City, next to a save point there is a crate you can destroy that holds two of these.

Rainbow Mushrooms[edit]

Aquaria rainbow-mushrooms.png

If a recipe calls for a generic mushroom, this will do... but it's more fun to put one of these in soup to make some interesting drugs.

Where to find:

  • There's a house in Mithalas nearby the entrance to the Mithalas Cathedral that holds three jars, each containing one Rainbow Mushroom. These will respawn every time you leave the town map and return to it.
  • Random jars in Mithalas may also hold these.

Red Bulbs[edit]

Aquaria RedBulbs.png

Used in making Cold Borscht, Hot Borscht and the Volcano roll. These seem to only be available from song plants, so there is a finite number in the game.

Where to find:

  • A glowing plant in Kelp Forest (above the cave with the Nymphs) has two of them.
  • Another glowing plant in Kelp Forest (after a fish tunnel behind the fish with the worm in it who drops the buttery sealoaf) has two of them.
  • A third glowing plant in Home Waters, up and left from home, has two of them.

Special Bulbs[edit]

Aquaria SpecialBulbs.png

Used in making Arcane Poultices, which give full healing.

Where to find:

  • Dropped by the Mermog boss.
  • In a secret up high room by the Sun Temple Boss. It's the right one, and it's a song plant on top so you can get one only once.
  • In the part of the Open Waters that is connected to both the Kelp Forest and The Veil, in a passage you can only enter in Spirit form there is a song plant holding one of these.
  • Sea Dragons drop Special Bulbs about 10% of the time.

Oils[edit]

Jelly Oil[edit]

Aquaria JellyOil.png

Jelly oil is also in high demand, as it can turn leaf poultices into healing poultices. Also useful for a couple of other recipes, including ice cream. You can never have enough jelly oil.

Where to find:

  • There are jellyfish all over The Veil, although you want the blue ones and not the yellow.
  • There are two or three in Nautilus Prime's chamber, just exit to Naija's home and re-enter to respawn them.
  • Also on the path to Blaster Peg Prime's chamber are a few of the blue jellyfish.
  • There is also a single one literally right outside of Naija's home. Kill it, collect, go back into her home to respawn the jellyfish, etcetera.
  • The yellow jellyfish found in the Ice Veil also drop jelly oil frequently.
  • The cave in the Abyss, near to where you fought the Jellyfish boss, is well-stocked with deepwater Jellyfish with a good drop rate of Jelly oil.

Fish Oil[edit]

Aquaria FishOil.png

Fish oil is the most plentiful form of oil. Used to make soup, buttery sea loaves, and as a part of a number of other recipes. It's used often enough that you'll likely run out, despite its plentiful nature.

Where to find:

  • Same as fish meat, just shoot energy bolts into schools of fish. You'll build them up in no time. There are many schools near Naija's home and in The Veil.

Eel Oil[edit]

Aquaria EelOil.png

Where to find:

  • A bit harder, there are 2 eels on the eastern side of The Veil and two or three on the west. It's a slow process to find them. The fastest choice is to shot the two eels outisde of Naija's home cave (where the big grey fish is) and they drop it from time to time.
  • Another location to find these wonderful oils is inside Mithalas City. The eels that inhabit some of the broken buildings have a chance to drop these.
    • It's also been found that when you see an eel, immediately stop moving and start to sing. Make sure not to sing just one note but you have to change notes quickly. This will result in the eel swimming over to you and it will swim in a circle around you. After it circles you a few times it drops an eel oil. In this fashion, 2-3 eel oils can be acquired at a time.

Meat[edit]

Fish Meat[edit]

Aquaria FishMeat.png

Fish meat is pretty generic meat, and found in abundance almost everywhere. Mostly used to make rolls and soup.

Where to find:

  • Remarkably simple, just shoot energy bolts into schools of fish. You'll build them up in no time. There are many schools near Naija's home and in The Veil.
  • You can also gain access to unlimited quantities in your kitchen once you've acquired the Mithalas Pot.
  • Swordfish will drop Fish Meat half the time.

Spicy Meat[edit]

Aquaria SpicyMeat.png

Used to make spicy soup and spicy rolls, which in turn are used in the construction of volcano rolls, which greatly increase your firepower.

Where to find:

  • The Newt Blasters in the Energy Temple always drop them when killed.
  • Ground Shockers, Pistol Shrimp and the large brown "Chomper" fish also drop them frequently.
  • The yellow jellyfish in the Song Cave and the Veil will drop these about 10% of the time.
  • A crate in the Sunken City – just before the room where you find the bikini – has two of these.

Rubbery Meat[edit]

Aquaria rubbery-meat.png

Rubbery meat transforms sea cakes into tough sea cakes, which not only heal you, but increase your defense for a short while. Crucial for many boss fights.

Where to find:

  • In The Veil, where you fight/fought the octopus boss, there are a few small squids. Each drops 2-3 rubbery meat and 1 small tentacle.
  • The Camopus (the invisible octopus-like creature in Home Waters, near the entrance to Open Waters) drops 4 of these when killed.
  • The Horseshoe Crabs in the northern part of Open Waters also leave rubbery meat.
  • Mauls (weird-looking creatures with large yellow bulges on their heads) drop them about 10% of the time.
  • Nautiluses drop them about 5% of the time.

Swordfish Steaks[edit]

Aquaria swordfish-steak.png

A healing item on their own, these can also be cooked in various recipes for some very nice meals. Note that swordfish most often drop Fish Meat, but will sometimes drop Swordfish Steak.

Where to find:

  • If you head south out of The Veil, you will reach a circular cavern that branches off in many directions with only two swordfish in it.
  • A swordfish can be found somewhere in Kelp Forest as well.
  • There are two swordfish in Open Waters, just north of the entrance to Mithalas.

Turtle Meat[edit]

Aquaria TurtleMeat.png

Used in turtle soup.

Where to find:

  • Simply go into the Turtle Cave in The Veil and go wild in energy form. Easy meat, though low drop rates.
  • There is a Rock Turtle just inside the entrance to the Song Cave (Home Waters). Remove its shell with bind song. Rock Turtles will drop meat every time.
  • There are also two Rock Turtles deep in the Arnassi ruins, near where you find the fish tunnel to take you to the Simon Says mini-boss.

Rotten Meat[edit]

Aquaria rotten-meat.png

Seemingly useless at first, but required in order to get Swamp Cakes, which give your fish form an attack.

Where to find:

  • Most vases in Mithalas will give these upon breakage.
  • Crabs inside the Cathedral will also drop them fairly often.

Crab Meat[edit]

Aquaria CrabMeat.png

Used in crab cake.

Where to find:

  • The Veil is a plentiful source of crab meat.
  • The crab walking on the wall in the Home Waters, southeast of Naija's home, will occasionally yield meat, as will the similar crabs found in the Kelp Forest.
  • The crabs that look like red spiders, in the passages full of starfish, will occasionally yield meat.

Eyes[edit]

Small Eyes[edit]

Aquaria SmallEyes.png

Used in the Tasty Cake & the Sight Poultice

Where to find:

  • The miniature one-eyed squids shot out of little pods throughout Aquaria give you these. There are a few east of Naija's home.
  • Nautiluses will also drop them occasionally.
  • The starfish in the veil will drop them, too.

Eggs[edit]

Small Eggs[edit]

Aquaria SmallEggs.png

Where to find:

  • The little pods that shoot the miniature one-eyed squids at you give you these. There are a few east of Naija's home.
  • The Aggro Hopper egg clusters will drop one when killed.
  • The Moray Eels in Mithalas sometimes drop them.

Rukh Eggs[edit]

Aquaria rukh-egg.png

Used in the Legendary Cake, these eggs are extremely hard to get.

Where to find:

  • The easiest place is in The Veil, on the far eastern side. Swim through a small cavern on the eastern wall, then walljump up an entire canyon to find a single Rukh there. Attack it until it drops its egg, then jump into the nest (try not to jump OVER it and back into the water) and you'll have your well-earned egg.
  • One can also be found on the top of the Turtle Cave, on the right side from the bubble where you can get the Urchin Costume.

Spider Eggs[edit]

Aquaria spider-egg.png

Where to find:

  • There are giant spiders all throughout the Kelp Forest, each will give you one egg when you kill it.
  • The wall-crawling spiders in the Abyss may also give you an egg when you kill them (possible in Nature Form).

Glowing Eggs[edit]

Aquaria glowing-egg.png

Glowing eggs, added to healing poultices, will create an item to heal poison as well as health.

Where to find:

  • Angler fish and glowing eels in the Abyss drop these (rarely).
  • The angular fish in Mithalas Castle drop these, as well.
  • There's a house with a jar in Mithalas City on the westmost side above the west entrance (enter from the west entrance->head east and up and circle back west). It will respawn when you leave the city and return.

Miscellaneous[edit]

Small Tentacles[edit]

Aquaria small-tentacle.png

Used in Life Long Soup, which heals and gives regeneration.

Where to find:

  • In The Veil, where you fight/fought the octopus boss, there are a few small squids. Each drops 2-3 rubbery meat and 1 small tentacle.
  • The Camopus (the invisible octopus-like creature in Home Waters, near the entrance to Open Waters) will always drop one when killed.

Shark Fins[edit]

Aquaria shark-fin.png

Used in Shark Fin Soup.

Where to find:

  • In The Veil, far eastern side, there is a group of three sharks (one being fairly large) near the surface. Each will drop a fin.
  • There are also sharks in the Kelp forest, which will occasionally drop fins.

Ice Chunks[edit]

Aquaria ice-chunk.png

Required for ice cream and cold soup.

Where to find:

  • The blue crabs inside the Ice Caves east of The Abyss will drop these.
  • Also in the Ice Caves, you can shoot the floating pieces of ice. They'll split apart into smaller and smaller pieces, until they finally are destroyed. Sometimes a destroyed piece will drop an Ice Chunk.
  • One of Ice Otters in the frozen veil is holding one of these. If you kill him you will NOT get it, but it is possible to get by sprinting into him twice.

Small Bones[edit]

Aquaria SmallBones.png

Useful for a few rare recipes like the Vedha Sea Crisp or the Vedha's Cure-All.

Where to find:

  • Small bones are common items pulled from plants with the Bind song.
  • The furthest to the left of the three vases in the Open Waters, just outside of Mithalas, contains three small bones. The vase respawns each time you enter the city.
  • Also inside vases in Mithalas.
