Campaign[edit | edit source]
Your goal in the game is to destroy cyborgs per each level, the cyborg formation at first will start moving slowly sideways, but as more cyborgs are destroyed in the said level, cyborgs will start moving in sideways faster and they will eventually start to descend the lesser cyborgs there are in the screen, some formations can already descend down to the ship from the start.
As you go through each sector, newer cyborgs will be introduced which will give you different and potentially better extra weapons, some extra weapons work really well when "stacked", for example using the Laser extra weapon can allow you to easily get an another charge of Laser extra weapon, which you can use again to get an another charge of Laser etc etc. Some extra weapons have good synergy which allows for seamless combos such as Right and Left Swing, it is up to the player to experiment this for themselves.
Some cyborg formations also have weaknesses in them as well, which when say, an extra weapon intended for that weakness is fired in there, you can finish the level very quick which will also be great if you are aiming to finish the level before you reach the Expert time, this weakness can be in different forms, like layouts made for where V-Strike specifically works or tightly packed cyborg formations which suggest that the likes of Ricochet works better here.
All cyborg formations will be the same no matter how many times you restart, which means the game has a somewhat predictable pacing, Mothership drops are also predictable, usually the first 2 Mothership drops will be the same, however Fighter attacks will always be different, sometimes they attack as soon as possible, sometimes they don't attack for at least 10 seconds, some attacks are extremely fast, some attacks aren't fast but they will fire as many shots as they can.
Plot[edit | edit source]
The game doesn't have much of a plot, but what the game tells is that Leda Prime is a planetary system that you have to liberate from cyborg invasion, and there 5 planets within in.
Leda Prime and Leda Prime Part 2[edit | edit source]
Campaign is split into 2 segments, Leda Prime and Leda Prime 2, which means you will replay the 5 planets one more time after finishing the first Campaign segment, the difference between the two segments is that the cyborg formation for all levels in all 5 planets are different between Leda Prime and Leda Prime 2, some formations on Leda Prime 2 are larger, faster, and trickier to finish.
