Battlezone: Battle Grounds is a map pack published by Macmillan Digital Publishing and developed by various individuals and companies prior to the original game's release date.

Containing no campaign or storyline, Battle Grounds is primarily a map pack for multiplayer, containing a myriad of deathmatch and strategy maps. It also contains a few single player instant action maps. Battle Grounds also contains a Level Cataloguer tool used to install and uninstall Battlezone maps. However, due to a glitch, the Level Cataloguer could not find the Battle Grounds map Capture the Relic. This was fixed in a subsequent unofficial release.

Never gaining large amounts of recognition on its own, Battle Grounds was bundled with the Battlezone Gold Pack containing the original game, The Red Odyssey, the official strategy guide, and the demo of Combat Commander.

Versions of the included maps were initially ported over to Battlezone 98 Redux on Steam by a community team known as the Heracles Brigade, but subsequent updates to Redux made the ported maps incompatible.
