Big Blue Box Studios was a UK based company that developed Fable, but is now a part of Lionhead Studios and no longer operates independently under a separate name. Its assimilation was unannounced to the public, however the works of Big Blue Box are now carried on by Lionhead itself.
Founded in 1999 by Dene Carter, Ian Lovett, and Simon Carter, Big Blue Box was the first of Lionhead Studios' satellite development studios. Although Big Blue Box was an entirely autonomous entity, the developer received full support of Lionhead.
The company was based near Guildford in the UK.
