Once the background has reappeared in front of Hiromi, the eagle-like "Mothership" will fly over her and come to a landing in front of her as its back door opens up and she automatically speeds through it into the ship; once she has reappeared inside the ship, a screen showing a diagram of the area's boss character will come down in front of her, as the "Commander" flies into view on a hovering platform then points out the boss character's weak points with a stick, while the three-script text Bosu teki wīkupointo koko wo nerau (ボス敵ウィークポイントここを狙う) appears on the diagram. Once the "Commander" has flown out of view again, a claw holding a cab-like attachment will come down from the top of the screen, then transform Hiromi's scooter into a flying ship for an inceptive time in the game - and once the claw has gone back up to the top of the screen, Hiromi will move up to the centre of the screen and blast off through the window at the front of the ship. (The claw that holds the cab-like attachment will also reappear to retransform Hiromi's scooter into a ship if she should ever lose a life during the course of this area; however, if it was her last life, it will not and she will just fall off the bottom of the screen).

A Zako-029 will now come hovering towards you while firing a projectile at you; once you have fired a shot at it to kill it, six Zako-010 will come bouncing towards you. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to a lamp-post in the centre of the screen, with an "L" powerup on its left side and a "C" powerup on its right side - and once you have collected the powerup of your choice, eight more Zako-010 will come bouncing towards you. Once you have fired off a shot at each of them to kill them, four Zako-001 will emerge from the water at the bottom of the screen and hover towards you while firing projectiles at you; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to another lamp-post in the centre of the screen, with a second "L" powerup on its left side and a second "C" powerup on its right side. Once you have collected the powerup of your choice, seven Zako-015 will emerge from the water at the bottom of the screen as you approach them, to blast into the air while firing projectiles at you - and once you have fired a shot at each of them, to kill them, two groups of four Zako-018 will come hovering towards you on the left and right sides of the screen. Once you have fired off a shot at each of them to kill them, two more groups of six more Zako-018 will come hovering towards you on the left and right sides of the screen; once you have fired off a shot at each of them to kill them a fifth group of ten more Zako-018 will come hovering towards you in the centre of the screen. Once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, another Zako-029 will come hovering towards you while firing a projectile at you while a sixth group of ten more Zako-018 come hovering towards you on the left side of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, a third Zako-029 will come hovering towards you while firing a projectile at you while a seventh group of ten more Zako-018 come hovering towards you on the right side of the screen. Once you have fired off a shot at each of them to kill them, the background will darken and the area's boss character will emerge from the water at the bottom of the screen; it'll try to stay ahead of you (while firing projectiles and homing missiles at you). Once you have fired enough shots at both of the boss's weak points to defeat it, it will sink to the bottom of the water, and explode - and Hiromi will move to the centre of the screen, as the text "AREA 3 CLEARED" of appears above her and the "stage clear" jingle is heard from the Yamaha YM-2151. You will then receive 10 bonus points for every tenth of a second you have remaining, and go on to Area 4; this is the first bonus stage of the game, with no enemies or bosses.
