For the Windows, Xbox 360 and Mac OS game, see Call of Duty 2.

Call of Duty 2: Big Red One is set in WWII and was released for home consoles around the same time that Call of Duty 2 was being released for Windows and Xbox 360. The game follows the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division, nicknamed the "Big Red One", through the deserts of North Africa and fields of France and Germany. The main core of the game is the thirteen campaign missions, but there is also a multiplayer mode including online multiplayer for PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions. The game is also packed with information on WWII weapons and vehicles and is very historically accurate. Also included are short videos from the early 1940s of the Big Red One fighting courtesy of the Military Channel.
