Real colors[edit]

How about adding images with real colors of the four ABXY buttons, as shown on this Wikpedia page? I mean, those are the colors used in Japan (home of Nintendo) and in most countries. --Abacos (talk) 09:49, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

The original author's creations do have slight variations in color (Y and X are the same, A and B are the same). Like this image. These images are already established here and do not need to be modified. The colors, honestly do not matter. The letter is printed on the image and that is what is necessary to distinguish it outside of controller preference. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 19:01, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
The gray buttons are not the original ones: those are the colors used in one Region only (see here). In fact, the original (Japanese) logo of the Super Famicom shows the four coloured buttons. Anyway, you're right, it is not important, I just thought that any player from Asia, Europe and Oceania would be more familiar with the coloured ones, and the different colours would allow a faster identification. --Abacos (talk) 10:43, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
PS: Almost by chance, I found this article from Australia. --Abacos (talk) 10:43, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I never really liked the colored buttons. When I was little, I had the opportunity to play Mega Man X on PC with a serial gamepad SNES controller clone with colored buttons and I thought it was just cheesy. Nowadays I would not value the color or aesthetics of the controller at all. It's all about control! Anyways, these buttons need no changes. Category:Sega Genesis controller buttons's Dpad images, however, do need some contrast to see the lines better. --Notmyhandle (talk contribs) 16:51, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
