Cosmic Epsilon (コズミック イプシロン?) is a shoot 'em up developed by Home Data for the Famicom and published by Asmik Ace Entertainment in Japan in 1989. It employs the Z-axis, with the protagonist flying towards the screen. It greatly resembles Sega's own Space Harrier, though certain elements are different. For example, the player character doesn't shoot directly but uses two flying satellites, which they can use to charge up a stronger shot by holding down the fire button for a few seconds.

The game utilizes a form of 3D that requires a special set of goggles, released in Japan as the Famicom 3D System, which can be activated in-game if the player happens to own the peripheral. It was the last published title to officially support the 3D System.

Story[edit]

An army of alien invaders from the Epsilon Empire is headed towards Earth and threatens to destroy it. An enemy transport battleship has already landed and waves of alien ships pour out of it. The player takes control of a transformable humanoid robot, the Cosmic Epsilon, and the object of the game is to fly through eight levels, from the surface of the Earth to deep into space and enemy occupied territory.
