Before switching on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum or Amstrad CPC, you can connect a Kempston, Sinclair, Protek, AGF, or Fuller joystick to the console if it is to be used; you will now have to connect your television and cassette recorder to the console and switch them on, then place the cassette of Creative Sparks's 1985 action game Danger Mouse in Making Whoopee into the cassette recorder, and rewind it (unless this is your first time playing it). You will then have to type LOAD "" (without leaving a space between the quotation marks) on your console's keyboard, and press Enter, then press the "Play" button upon the cassette recorder - and, once the game has finished loading, press the "Stop" button on it. On the game's title screen (the ZX Spectrum version of which is depicted above), press B to toggle between the keyboard and each of the five different joysticks' control, then press Space to start.

Start in driving forward, then turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to the right, continue going forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the right, and continue driving forward until you come to a door in the wall; Danger Mouse shall then get out of his car and go through the door into "Store #2", which has an initial bonus of 200 and a total of fifteen black doors on seven platforms. Go through the first black door on the ground to come out of the first one on the fifth platform, then go back through it to come out of the first one on the third platform, walk over to and go through the third one on this platform to come out of the first one on the fourth platform, and go back through it to come out of the one on the second platform (for the exit is to its left) - and you will then have to walk over to and go through the exit to read the following message:

Walk over to and climb up the first ladder to the first platform, then walk over to and climb up the second ladder to the second platform, walk over to and climb (or drop) down the third ladder to the third platform, jump over to the fourth platform and climb the fourth ladder to the exit (the portrait of Greenback on the wall will frown when you make it).

You will then have to drive forward, turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to your left and continue driving forward, turn to the left and continue driving forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the left and continue driving forward, turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to the right and continue driving forward, until you come to a third door in the wall; Danger Mouse shall then get out of his car and go through the door into "Bubble Trouble", which has an initial bonus of 750, and a second type of bubble machine in its bottom-right corner (again, the bubbles it generates must be avoided). Walk over to and climb the first ladder to the first platform, then walk over to and climb the second ladder to the second platform, walk over to and climb up the third ladder to the third platform, walk over to and climb the fourth ladder to the fourth platform, then walk to the exit (again, the portrait of Greenback on the wall will frown when you make it) - and if a bubble should touch Danger Mouse while on a ladder he will fall back down to the last platform (or ground).

Push the joystick to accept Agent 57's offer, then retrace your steps until you are back where the first green X was, turn to the right, and continue driving forward until you come to a clock that only has one hand (which is pointing at 1), and the text "LET ME GIVE YOU A HAND!" appears on the screen; the clock shall then rise into the air, and the second green X seen upon the map will again disappear. You will then have to turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to your right, continue driving forward, turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to the left, and continue driving forward, until you come to a sixth door in the wall - and Danger Mouse will then get out of his car and go through the door to "Store #3", which has an initial bonus of 0 and ten black doors upon two platforms. Walk over to the only one upon the ground, then go through it to come out of the fourth one on the second platform, drop down to the first platform, and go through the exit (this is the simplest store room), to get the following message:

You will then have to drive forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the left, and then continue driving forward until you come up to a twelfth door in the wall; Danger Mouse shall then get out of his car and go through the door to "Comms Centre", which has an initial bonus of 550, with four currents running along four wires, into four televisions. Walk over to and climb the first ladder to the first platform, then (while avoiding currents) walk over to and climb the second ladder to the second platform, and (again, while avoiding the currents) jump over the gap to the exit on the third platform (for an eighth time, the portrait of Greenback will frown when you make it).

You shall then have to drive forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to your right, continue driving forward, turn to your right and continue driving forward until you come to a thirteenth door in the wall; Danger Mouse shall then get out of his car and go through the door to "Creative Sparks" (named after the game's developers), which has an initial bonus of 800 with infinite electric currents running along a wire and a moving platform. Walk over to and climb up the first ladder to the first platform then jump over to the moving platform, jump over to the second ladder on the second platform, and climb it to the third one (while avoiding the currents!), and walk over to the exit (for a ninth time the portrait of Greenback will frown when you make it) - this is also the first time that you will see moving platforms in the game.

You shall then have to retrace your steps until you are back at the start of the dead end "Current Affair" was at the end of, then turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the left, and continue driving forward, until you come to a third pair of giant legs and the text "WAS THAT A SAUSAGE TROLL?" appears on the screen; the giant legs shall then rise into the air and the seventh green X seen on the map will disappear. You will then have to continue driving forward, turn to your right, continue driving forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to the left, and continue driving forward until you come up to a fourth pair of giant legs as the text "THANKS FOR NOTHING!!!!" appears on the screen - and the giant legs will then rise into the air, and the eighth green X seen on the map will disappear. You'll then have to continue driving forward, until you come up to an eighteenth door in the wall; Danger Mouse will then get out of his car and go through the door to "Store #7" which has an initial bonus of 300, four black doors (the first three of which are suspended up in mid-air), and a moving platform. Walk over to the only door on the ground, then go through it to come out of the second one in mid-air (as the moving platform is coming towards it, go through the third door in mid-air, to come out of the first one in mid-air), and fall down to the exit to receive the following message:

While avoiding the currents (and bubbles), walk over to and climb the ladder to the first platform, then drop down to the second platform, jump onto the moving platform, and jump over to the exit on the third platform (for the twelfth time, the portrait of Greenback shall frown when you make it) - this is also the first time bubble machines and electric currents are seen together in the game.

You'll then have to retrace your steps until you are back at the start of the dead end the second "Creative Sparks" was on, then turn to the left, continue driving forward, turn to the right, and continue driving forward, until you come to a twenty-first door in the wall; Danger Mouse will then get out of his car and go through the door to another "Whopper Popper", which is identical to the first one, so you shall for a fifth time have to scroll back up to its section.

You will then have to retrace your steps until you are back at the start of the dead end that the second "Whopper Popper" was on, then turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the left, and continue driving forward, until you come to a duck (which is not the original version of Count Duckula, who made his last appearance in the show in this game's year) and the text "CAN'T KEEP THAT EIDER DOWN!" appears on the screen; the duck will then rise into the air, and the ninth green X seen on the map will disappear. You shall then have to continue driving forward, turn to the right, continue going forward, turn to the right, continue driving forward, turn to the right and continue driving forward until you come up to a twenty-second door in the wall - and Danger Mouse will then get out of his car and go through the door to another "Store #4", which is identical to the first one, so you shall for the sixth time have to scroll back up to its section. However, Agent 57 will offer Danger Mouse another coin at the end on this time; push the joystick to accept it.

XXX indicates the numbers of gas plants left operational and the numbers of cushions that Greenback has the capacity to make respectively; the screen shall now cut to a shot of Danger Mouse in Greenback's Whoopee Factory. As Stiletto Mafioso pumps the whoopees up on the production line (and they fly up into the air), you will have to make Danger Mouse hop to the left and right and jump up to burst the whoopees with his Pointed Imploding Needle - and once you have burst the required capacity of whoopees (indicated in the bottom-left corner) the text "Well done Danger Mouse, You have saved the seat of power! Your score is: XXXXXX" (XXXXXX being your final totaled score) will appear with "use the joystick to save the world again (again)" below it. However, much like Double Trouble, it's your choice if you wish to play the game a second time; you can just turn the console off if you do not want to. At an unknown point after this game, a Danger Mouse game was released for the Commodore Amiga by an unknown publisher, but it was just a "knock-off" of Century Electronics' 1983 arcade title Hunchback - and there wouldn't be another Danger Mouse game until Danger Mouse: Quiz for iOS in 2010.
