This is a tutorial map. First, create a squad or two to eliminate the red virus, keeping the third task empty. Advance them to the red virus.
As you will see, a deselected squad will fire automatically, but you can have a squad perform more effectively by selecting them, and attacking manually.
When you reach the cube, Dr. Sepulveda will tell you about the research data. When you get an engineer to the location, it will allow your squad to fire grenades at their targets. Send the engineer to the control tower to claim the radar dish, and aim the radar dish across the water.
Send the squads through the dish, and use their grenades to quickly slay the enemies. Clear out the path to the trunk port, and caputre it with the engineer.
