Javelins are one-handed thrusting weapons which can be used as both melee and missile weapons, and they occupy 1x3 inventory or stash spaces when not equipped (with the exception of Throwing Spears and Harpoons, which occupy 1x4). They cannot be socketed, and they can only be low, normal or high quality.

All javelins have range adder 2 when used as melee weapons, and they can be thrown up to 30 yards at a rate of 18.75 yards per second.

Javelins have 75 Strength and Dexterity bonus when calculating attack damage, so % Damage = [Str * 75/100] + [Dex * 75/100].

When javelins are equipped by a Barbarian, Spear Mastery applies to melee attacks and Throwing Mastery applies to missile attacks.
