Unlockable Features[edit]

After meeting certain criteria, some special features, which you can access from the main menu, can be unlocked.

Extra Hard Mode[edit]

For those who can't get enough of Dirge of Cerberus, this mode is unlocked after beating the game once.

Extra Missions[edit]

Test your skills in a variety of elaborate side missions. The only way to unlock this feature and following stages is first by completing a game on easy or normal mode, then by completing assigned objectives and/or shooting hidden targets found throughout the level.

Event Viewer[edit]

This allows you to watch event scenes from the story. The only way to unlock these is to find and shoot the hidden memory capsules throughout the game. Once you have completed the game once, these scenes are available from the main menu, although only if you've shot the corresponding memory capsule. The locations of the memory capsules are further detailed in the memory capsule section of this guide.

Character Viewer[edit]

Allows you to see 3D models of the games characters. The only way to get these is by destroying hidden targets found throughout the extra missions.

Sound Gallery[edit]

By shooting hidden targets throughout the extra missions you can unlock songs which are then displayed in this sound gallery.

Art Gallery[edit]

View artwork used in the games development. You can unlock new pages by shooting hidden targets found throughout the extra missions.

Secret Ending[edit]

Dirge of Cerberus has a hidden ending. The criteria to get the secret ending is by getting all three of the 'G-files'. This extra scene will play out after the 'normal' ending scene.

Chapter 8, Part 2/2[edit]

Reach the long hall after the jukebox/shop machine and climb the ladder behind the heavy machine gun and continue to the end. Successfully complete the mission 'Protect the WRO soldiers!' to unlock all the locks, making the lasergate open. Follow the passage that the lasergate was blocking, and at the end is the first G-file amongst some items.

Chapter 10[edit]

After passing the motorised cart section, you come upon a run-down road where there are some DeepGround soldiers with magical defense. Continue until you reach the rooftop and search around the corner under the stairs. The second G-file should be at the co-ordinate N-10.

Chapter 11[edit]

Close to where you encounter the airship boss, there is a room with 4 mako points. To get the final G-file, you have to stand on the plate in the centre, wait for it to lift you high up enough, and jump to the pipe. The file should be at the co-ordinate C-6, the north corner.
