Doom 64 is a unique first person shooter game designed specifically for Nintendo 64. With the mix of the old and the new, this takes place between Doom 2 and Doom 3. Moving to 3D for the first time, this game is uniquely the only console prior to Doom 3 for bringing the best from the previous Doom games from the guns to the demons to the sound and music with the controls conveniently designed to be in line like the other first person shooters. The only absence is multiplayer as it's purely a single player game.
In a rerelease, available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, the game has been updated with the included extra level that was absent from Nintendo 64 at the time. The only difference is the widescreen addition.
