Leshrac is a versatile ranged intelligence hero who can be played as a support, a semi-carry, a ganker or an initiator, though he's primarily played as a pusher. He has effective AoE spells, giving him a large presence in teamfights, as well as making him clear creep waves and push down towers with relative ease. His Split Earth is a great stun, though it requires some skill and prediction to land. His Diabolic Edict is his signature pushing skill, burning away at the health of towers and heroes alike. Lightning Storm is a spammable damage spell that can deal consistent damage against groups of enemies. His Pulse Nova is yet another powerful AoE spell, taking away chunks of an enemy's health every second as long as he has the mana to maintain it.

Abilities[edit]

Split Earth[edit]

Dota 2 leshrac split earth.png
  • Ability: Target Point
  • Affects: Enemy Heroes
  • Damage Type: Magical
  • Damage: 120 / 180 / 240 / 300
  • Stun Delay: 0.35
  • Radius: 150 / 175 / 200 / 225
  • Stun Duration: 2
  • Mana Cost: 100 / 125 / 140 / 160
  • Cooldown: 9

Split Earth stuns all units around the targeted area after a short cast delay. The stun is moderately long, and good enough to hold enemies in place for followup stuns or attacks. Actually landing the stun in the first place can be a little tricky, since there is a noticeable delay between casting it and stunning. It is usually a good idea to layer it on top of another, more reliable stun from an ally, such as a Sand King's Burrowstrike.

Diabolic Edict[edit]

Dota 2 leshrac diabolic edict.png
  • Ability: No Target
  • Affects: Enemy Heroes
  • Damage Type: Composite
  • Damage: 12.5 / 25 / 37.5 / 50
  • Explosions: 32
  • Radius: 500
  • Mana Cost: 95 / 120 / 135 / 155
  • Cooldown: 22

Diabolic Edict cause explosions to randomly burst around Leshrac, doing more damage the fewer units are around. As it does composite damage, it can be used to take down towers, and repeated explosions on one tower can burn away its hp very quickly. The damage it does is quite high on heroes as well, good enough to remain a threat well into the midgame.

Lightning Storm[edit]

Dota 2 leshrac lightning storm.png
  • Ability: Target Unit
  • Affects: Enemy Heroes
  • Damage Type: Magical
  • Damage: 80 / 140 / 200 / 260
  • Jumps: 4 / 5 / 6 / 7
  • Mana Cost: 90 / 100 / 110 / 120
  • Cooldown: 4

Lightning Storm causes lightning to strike the target, jumping to nearby enemy units. It has a cooldown of only 5.5 seconds, which makes it very spammable. It is very useful for clearing creep waves, but not as useful against heroes, as the casting time is a bit too high and leaves you vulnerable longer than need be.

Pulse Nova[edit]

Dota 2 leshrac pulse nova.png
  • Ability: No Target, Toggle
  • Affects: Enemy Heroes
  • Damage Type: Magical
  • Mana/Sec: 20 / 40 / 60
  • Radius: 450
  • Damage: 66 / 100 / 144
  • Mana Cost: 110
  • Cooldown: 1
  • Scepter Damage: 100 / 150 / 200

Pulse Nova does high damage to enemies with pulses every second. It is very mana-intensive, and you might not even have enough mana to support it until after level 10. However, the damage it does is enormous, taking away huge chunks of health from enemies. Leaving it toggled on during teamfights can cause widespread destruction among enemy heroes, and combined with your other abilities, you can potentially take down a few heroes with spells alone.

Aghanim's Scepter can be bought by Leshrac and will increase the damage dealt by Pulse Nova.
