"Trees? Why did it have to be trees?"

Rizzrak the Timbersaw, known as Goblin Shredder in DotA, is a melee strength hero who is usually played as a ganker. His short ability cooldowns and useful spells give him good power, mobility and durability. His Whirling Death is a good AoE damage spell that can also be used to weaken enemies, being able to interact with trees to cut through armor and magic resistance. His Timber Chain gives him incredible mobility with the help of trees, also letting him do pure damage. Timbersaw is also able to withstand long battles with Reactive Armor, giving a new meaning to the phrase "What does not kill you makes you stronger". His Chakram is a relatively spammable ultimate that can rapidly chip away enemy health and slow them drastically, though it renders him unable to attack using any other way. With multiple sources of pure damage and great survivability, Timbersaw is a hero to watch out for.

Whirling Death[edit]

Dota 2 Whirling Death.png
  • Ability: No Target
  • Damage Type: Magical
  • Radius: 300
  • Damage: 100 / 150 / 200 / 250
  • Stat Loss Duration: 7
  • Stat Loss Percent: 15%
  • Mana Cost: 70 / 80 / 90 / 100
  • Cooldown: 8

Timbersaw whirls extremely sharp edges, damaging enemies and destroying trees around him in an area. If an enemy hero is affected, it loses some of its primary attribute for a short duration. Whirling Death will deal Pure damage if a tree is cut down in the process. It is a decent area of effect damage spell that it also quite spammable. The stat loss is quite significant and can reduce the damage dealt by multiple heroes at once, among other stat reductions.

Timber Chain[edit]

Dota 2 Timber Chain.png
  • Ability: Point Target
  • Damage Type: Pure
  • Damage: 100 / 140 / 180 / 220
  • Radius: 225
  • Cast Range: 800 / 1000 / 1200 / 1400
  • Mana Cost: 60 / 70 / 80 / 90
  • Cooldown: 4

Timbersaw fires a chain that embeds itself in the first tree it hits, pulling him towards it. Any enemy in the path takes damage. With a cooldown of just 4 seconds, it can let you rapidly move around your enemies, causing a bit of confusion, dodging certain abilities and dealing pure damage while you're at it. It can be combined with Whirling Death to do a lot of damage, since it has a shorter cooldown and only does slightly less damage than Whirling Death.

Reactive Armor[edit]

Dota 2 Reactive Armor.png
  • Ability: Passive
  • Bonus Armor: 1
  • Bonus HP Regen: 1
  • Max Stacks: 4 / 8 / 12 / 16
  • Stack Duration: 16

Each time Timbersaw is attacked, he gains increased health regen and armor. This means that the longer you stay in a fight, the tougher you get. It can be quite helpful if you find yourself in a duel, as the increased durability can help you outlast your opponent. It also lets you survive more hits in the middle of heated teamfights.

Dota 2 Chakram.png
  • Ability: Point Target
  • Damage Type: Pure
  • Radius: 200
  • Pass Damage: 100 / 140 / 180
  • Damage Per Second: 50 / 75 / 100
  • Slow: 5%
  • Mana Cost Per Second: 20 / 25 / 30
  • Mana Cost: 100 / 150 / 200
  • Cooldown: 8

Fires your main saw blade at the target location, and once there the blade will spin, dealing damage in an area around it and slowing enemies. For each 5% of health missing, enemies caught in the saw blade move more slowly. The blade deals damage and cuts down trees in its path when fired and retracted. You lose the ability to attack and spend mana while the blade is out. With a cooldown of 8 seconds, it is much more spammable than most ultimates. It can rack up damage very quickly, especially on heroes with less health who have a harder time escaping the blade. Remember that you can't attack or cast spells with Chakram out, so if it isn't catching enemy heroes, you can always retract it.

Return Chakram[edit]

  • Ability: No Target
  • Cooldown: 0

Returns the Chakram to Timbersaw.
