The second mission isn't much longer than the first, and it takes place in one large scene. You begin near a construction site, and must climb over a fence to reach a partially completed building. The boss, a martial artist named Chintai, waits for you at the very top.

Section 1 - Roper × 4

You begin the next mission by squaring off with four Ropers. Ropers are fond of chucking heavy objects at you, and the box that's lying on the ground is no exception. While you face the first the first two Ropers, one will pick up the box and try to heave it at you. If you're standing close to the left side of the screen, chances are the box will become inaccessible after it bounces off the screen. Otherwise, pick it up and throw it back at the Ropers for decent damage. If you're at Level 3 when you reach this mission, go ahead and take the Ropers out as quickly as possible. Otherwise, keep them around until you level up, then remove them.
Section 2 - Williams × 5

The next section pits you against five Williams but the first two that you face are found in separate areas. The first Williams will greet you before the chain link fence with a stick of dynamite in his hand. Get him to throw the dynamite by getting close to him, and backing off as soon as he throws it; if that dynamite hits you, you will lose a significant amount of health. While the dynamite is lying on the floor, it gets ready to ignite, flashing just before it explodes. You can keep the Williams very close to it by moving up and down. If he is standing near it when it goes off, he will be killed by the explosion. Otherwise, just defeat him in the normal fashion. Then climb to the top of the fence. Up here, you will be locked in one plane, and be unable to move up or down in order to dodge attacks. You will be approached by a Williams carrying a baseball bat. When you are close enough, perform a Jump Kick to knock the bat out of his hands. Then pick up the bat and use it against him until he is knocked out.

Once the Williams with the bat is defeated, proceed to the right. You can climb down the fence, jump off, or simply fall off the fence (which is not recommended) to return to the ground below. Walk past the steel beams, and two more Williams will approach. One will be holding a stick of dynamite. You can use the same trick against him to make him die in the explosion if you like. Then continue to use the bat to defeat the remaining Williams and the final Williams that approaches. Note that Williams is likely to try and Jump Kick you when you are holding a bat, in order to make you drop it and pick it up for himself, so be careful.
Note: There is a trick that you can perform in this area to gain unlimited amounts of fighting experience. Check the Secrets page for more information.
Section 3 - Linda × 5

After getting the thumbs up to proceed, you will find yourself at the base of a building still under construction. You will be greeted by a Linda who is carrying a whip. Use a Jump Kick against her to knock the whip out of her hands, and pick it up to use it against her. Another Linda will join the fight on the ground floor. If you get her close enough to the edge on the right, you can knock her out by pushing her into the darkness below. Once both Lindas are defeated, two more will appear on the second story of the building. Climb the ladder to confront them. Remember that once you start climbing the building, you lose the ability to move up and down in order to avoid getting hit. You should still have the whip as it will come in handy fighting against these two Lindas. Once they are defeated, one final Linda will appear on the third story. Climb up the ladder to take her on, or wait for her to climb down to you. By this time, you should have reached, or be very close to reaching, Level 4. Try to reach that level before the last Linda is defeated so that you can use your new moves against the boss.
Section 4 - Chintai × 1
Double Dragon NES screen 26.png
After the last Linda is defeated, your next goal is to reach the top of the building. At the top, you'll find an office. Once you climb to the top of the last ladder, a man will exit from the office to attack you. This is Chintai, and his speed and ability far surpasses any warrior you've fought so far. You can't simply walk up to Chintai and start throwing punches like a regular opponent; you'll have to fight more carefully against this foe. Once again, you have a choice of strategies against this foe. The first is to go toe to toe with Chintai, and stay away from the right edge of the building in an effort to avoid getting knocked over the edge. If you have reached Level 4, you have another option. Level 4 gives you access to the hair grab move, and the related Knee Bash and Throw moves that come with it. The easiest way to initiate a hair grab is to kick from a safe distance while pushing closer to your opponent. Once the opponent bends over, you should grab his hair. From there, you can press A button, and toss the opponent over your shoulder. If you successfully pull off a hair grab move near the right edge of the floor, you can toss Chintai over your shoulder, and right over the side of the building for a quick finish to the battle.
