Dragon Chronicle Online is a touch-screen card arcade game that was released by Namco in 2004; it runs on Namco System 246 hardware, and as its name implies, it's the sequel to Dragon Chronicle: Legend of the Master Ark, which was released two years earlier. Unlike its predecessor, it only allows up to four people to play it simultaneously (rather than eight) - however, when it was new, it was for a second time possible for people to save their runs to memory cards and continue where they had left off in any arcade that owned a cabinet. Furthermore, an arcade operator who purchased a cabinet of the game when it was new would also receive an upright "Dragon Terminal" with a touch panel which people could use for three minutes free of charge (however, if they needed to use it for a longer time, they would have to insert a coin into it in order to continue) to check the data stored on their memory cards; this was possible until the game's online service was shut down for good on January 7, 2008.
