DQ6 Path to Slimopolis.jpg

There are a lot of optional goodies to pick up before moving on. The Slimopolis, for example, is an optional area where you can pit your slimes against other monsters in an arena. However, most of the worthwhile ones are gated behind monsters that are too strong right now. Still, you will want to go there just to get some Mini Medals.

DQ6 A Mini Medal.png

Sail northwest of the Sunken Ship, and you should find an underwater shrine. Search on the spot marked in the left picture for your Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 39th Mini Medal, then surface your ship, and sail onto a northern mass of land to find another well. Enter it, and it should take you to where the Slimopolis is.

This place has been locked by the same floodgates that had blocked us from going to Pescado before, and the Floodgate Key won't work this time. So walk just a little bit down, then a little bit to the right, and you should see another shrine. Step on the yellow switch that you find within it, and Slimopolis will be open to the public once again!

More Dreamscapes (Remakes only)[edit]

Go get a Dreamscape at the Church if you are playing the Mobile version.

If you are playing on the remakes, go to the Church listed on this map and search the left bookcase; you should get your DQ3 SNES Book.png 5th Dreamscape! Once you do that, you can Zoom back to Suite Dreams.

The Slimopolis[edit]

Floating Island > Church (Android) > Jail > Slimopolis

Remember your Floating Island? Well it has three treasures you couldn't get before; and now you can! Rest inside your Inn, then loot the cellars for a Hela's Armour, a Magic Water, and the Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 40th Mini Medal!

DO NOT SELL THE HELA'S ARMOR! It's not worth equipping now due to it dropping your Agility to 0; but it is invaluable for boss fights! It can be removed at will, it provides a lot of Resilience, and sports a 15 point resistance to Frizz, Sizz, Bang, and Fire attacks. It doesn't just make you durable; it allows you to manipulate turn orders at will!

Raid the jail for the Magma Staff and Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 41st Mini Medal, fly north into the Slimopolis, get the Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 42nd Mini Medalthen make sure to make a Slime only party. Otherwise, you will not be able to enter door C and get the Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 43rd-44th Mini Medals.

You need to have a slime-only party to access the Mini Medals.

As for the Arena, you can clear Ranks G-D. Most of the prizes are useful only as liquidation fodder, but the Hermes Hats are the strongest headware you can get for now. You can earn each prize twice, so if you want them, make Healie a Warrior, give him the Miracle Sword, and give him the best armor you can.

In fact, one could even go up to Rank C if they're on the remakes, and have recruited Goowain. Unlike the SNES version, the remake A.I. will use whichever items you give it, such as the Fire Claw and Ghent Staff. SNES players, however, will simply have to make due with whatever spells their slime naturally knows.

More Items[edit]

DQ6 Path to Poseidon's Palace and Felonia.jpg

Zoom back to Dream World Somnia and go inside the castle. You should be able to collect the Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 45th Mini Medal from the cellars in the upper-right corner of the 1st floor. Zoom back to Slimopolis and ride the flying bed directly south to the Jail Shrine again, then fly immediately west of it. You should eventually run into some rocky mountains; start going south until you are able to fly onto the continent, then keep going west. You should see another set of stairs leading down to the Real World. Take them, go up, and you should run into the town of Turnscote!

Add that to your Zoom list, then Zoom to the following locations to get these items:

Port Haven: 1500G and the Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 46th Mini Medal in the cellars.

Somnia (Real World): Platinum Shield and the Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 47th Mini Medal from the cellars in the upper-right corner of the first floor.

Arkbolt: Poison Needle and the Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 48-49th Mini Medals behind the Magic Key door and from the pot in the jail cells.

Howcastle: Platinum Mail and the Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 50th Mini Medal from the locked door on the first floor.

DQ6 Another Mini Medal.png

Go to point 6 underwater after raiding Howcastle. All players will you'll find a Poison Needle in the drawers. In the remakes, you will also your DQ3 SNES Book.png 6th Dreamscape hidden in the left bookcase! That will bring you up to 6 total Dreamscapes if you have been following the guide; one more, and Mobile users can Recruit Curie! But for now, go to Fashion Forge, then get your Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 51st Mini Medal Mini Medal from the underwater Inn.

Warp back to Turnscote, and sail your ship to Poseidon's Palace at point 3. You'll find a Kerplunk Bracer (automatically restores every person, even dead ones, to 100% HP upon the wearer's death), a Silver Tray (one of the only shields that Milly and Healie can use), a Watermaul Wand (mostly worthless, but sells for a lot), and your Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 52nd-53rd Mini Medals! And remake players can find their DQ3 SNES Book.png 7th Dreamscape!

The Silver Platter and Kerplunk Bracer are especially valuable; do not ever sell the Silver Platter, and do not waste the Kerplunk Bracer yet! You will dearly need it for either the final boss, or the post-game boss. With that said, go on to Felonia!

Felonia[edit]

DQ6 Felonia.png

Avoid the Frighturn, if playing the SNES; it has 300 Defense and can cast Beat. However, it does have a 100% chance of dropping a Seed of Resilience in the remakes. If you wish to fight it, Sap away all of it's Defense, and don't attempt to use attack magic, debuffs, or Knuckle Sandwich on it; it is highly resistant to all of those.

In any case, get the Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 54-59th Mini Medals and the DQ3 SNES Book.png 8-9th Dreamscapes.

About Milly
If you want more details about what happened to Milly, you won't get them in the game itself. However, the Japan exclusive novelization and other expanded materials reveal it in more detail. The queen confined her to the jail cells before anything truly bad could happen, if that's what you're wondering.

Wrapping up[edit]

DQ6 Shrine North of Turnscote.png
There's good stuff at the well!
Try to buy two Flowing Dresses, one Thinking Cap, and one Shellmet from this place.

Warp back to Turnscote and get your Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 60th Mini Medal at the Graveyard. Then sail to the Well; you will find your Dragon Warrior 3 SNES Small Medal.png 61st Mini Medal here, as well as a plethora of shops selling incredible equipment. You should be able to buy one Thinking Cap for Carver (+20 Wisdom), one Slime Helmet (40+ Defense for Nevan and Healie), and two Flowing Dresses (4th highest resistances in the game). But do not sell the Fire Claw, Bunny Ears, or Hela's Armour!

You should now have 61 Mini Medals and 9 Dreamscapes; so Zoom to Medford's Manor and get the Sacred Armour! This here is one of the best in the game! It regenerates 30 or 50 HP per turn (depending on the version), sports the 7th highest Resilience of any armour in the game, and even comes in handy for a future mini-game. Mobile players can also get Curie at Suite Dreams if you wish, along with Shelley at the Undersea Inn.

With all that said and done, your current set-up should look something like this:

Carver (Level 21): Miracle Sword, Sacred & Hela's Armour, Platinum/Dragon Shield, Thinking Cap, Agility Ring (Raging Ruby for bosses)
Amos (Level 19): Dream Blade, Platinum Mail, Magic/Dragon Shield, Iron Mask, Meteorite Bracer
Milly (Level 19): Platinum Sword, Flowing Dress, Silver Platter, Hermes' Hat, Gold Bracer
Nevan (Level 19): Fire Claw, Ghent Staff, Morning Star, Flowing Dress, Magic Shield, Shellmet, Gold Bracer
