Difficulty setting

The game has three difficulty settings:

• Easy - You start with six hit points instead of three and every Energy Star will add two hit points instead of one.
• Normal
• Difficult - Cakes which fully refill your health do not appear and Magic Coins which make you invincible do not appear either.

If you are having trouble play on easy, but since the game isn't very hard and there is not much actual difference between the settings you can try choosing difficult even if it's your first time playing.

Level order

In a similar vein to Capcom's own Mega Man series, the order that the levels can be completed in this game is entirely up to the player. But contrary to Mega Man where doing levels in a certain order is preferable difficulty wise, here it makes very little to no difference. This guide will go through the levels in order in which they are presented in the level select menu:

The Amazon

Hidden in a temple deep in the jungles of Amazon, an Incan Sentinel guards the fabled Scepter of the Incan King. Scrooge must cut his way through the thick jungle and climb the temple walls if he wants to aqcuire this ancient treasure.

Transylvania

Inside Dracula Duck manor lies the Coin of the Lost Realm but Scrooge's old enemy Magica De Spell has set her eye on the coin as well. Scrooge must navigate the monster filled maze to get to the coin's resting place and defeat Magica to claim it.

African Mines

Locked inside the gold mines in Africa is King Slime's prized possession - the Giant Diamond of Inner Earth. To gain access to the mines, Scrooge needs to return to the manor in Transylvania to find the entrance key. The mines also hide another valuable treasure for explorers who dare look for it.

The Himalayas

Up on the roof of the world is the resting place of the Lost Crown of Genghis Khan. Scrooge must endure the cold weather and navigate the icy caves of the Himalayas to get to the crown's guardian - the Abominable Snowman.

The Moon

Beneath the crust of the Moon is the Green Cheese of Longevity kept by the vicious Moon Rat. The entrance to the cave is blocked by a large wall so Scrooge will need help if he wants the cheese. The aliens that have visited the Moon also keep a valuable trinket on their spaceship.

Finale

After getting all the treasures, Scrooge's old nemesis appears and pulls a fast one on him...
