Dynamite Düx title screen.png

Once you have inserted your coin(s) into the cabinet of Sega's 1988 beat 'em up arcade game, Dynamite Düx, and pressed either Start Button, you shall get treated to the game's opening cutscene (which is displayed on an old scroll, has the text "SEGA 1988" above it, and the following four texts below it):

Dynamite Düx intro 1.png
one day, lucy was playing with
her pets bin and pin in
a beautiful flower garden.

Dynamite Düx intro 2.png
then suddenly an evil black
shadow appeared and changed
into "achacha the great" while
they were watching.

Dynamite Düx intro 3.png
lucy startled and frightened,
was kept in a miracle ball
and taken away to the achacha
world by "achacha the great"!

Dynamite Düx intro 4.png
therefore bin and pin rose up
and ventured into the achacha
world to rescue her.

The "Miracle Ball" is a reference to Sega's then-current mascot, Alex Kidd (specifically his first title, The Lost Stars, which was released two years earlier on their System 16A hardware, and also used a Yamaha YM-2151 FM sound chip); it'll then display a map of the first stage, which shows once you have defeated the mini-boss, you can choose which path you want to take by walking up or down to the top or bottom of the screen and continuing to the right (the path you did not choose will be blocked off by a construction barrier, which cannot be jumped over). Also, if you do not move forward for a while, the text "DANGER HURRY UP" will flash up on the screen - and if you do not obey it, two black demons will appear over both of the ducks' heads, and drain eight bits of their energy (this also happens if they take too long over defeating a boss, and if they have less than eight bits of energy left, it shall kill them unless, in the case of it happening during a boss battle, the ducks should manage to finish off the boss before the demons drain their last bits of energy).
