These are the enemies that appear in the game, excluding bosses.
Lamp[edit | edit source]
The first enemy you fight in the game that appears at Ninten's House. When you try to exit your room at the start of the game, the lamp that appeared near you will suddenly attack and your first fight will begin. The battle is very straightforward, as Ninten and the Lamp only know normal attacks. There's another lamp enemy located in Minnie's room from the same house, but the enemy is optional since it's only required to fight the Doll in Mimmie's room after fighting the lamp in Ninten's room.

Rat[edit | edit source]
File:RatEBBSprite.gif The rat appears in the basement of Ninten's house and later appears in the Choucream Zoo's Superintendent's Office and Sweet's Little Factory. While relatively weak, principally on its bite attack, it can utter dirty words, lowering one party member's FIGHT stat.

Centipede[edit | edit source]
File:CentipedeEBBSprite.gif One of the weakest enemies that appears early in the game. Located around Podunk, it only knows the regular attack command, which is very weak and makes the enemy not a threat. It is also weak to Insecticide.
Its enhanced variation is the BionicCenti (see below).

BionicCenti[edit | edit source]
File:BionicCentiEBBSprite.gif The BionicCenti is located in North Podunk and outside Choucream Zoo and acts as an enhanced version of the Centipede. Like the Centipede, it can attack physically. Unlike the Centipede, the BionicCenti is able to poison your party members with PoisnNeedle, as a result of scientific alterations. Like the Bionic Bat and BionicScorp, which also are enhanced enemies that share the same name prefix, it's colored green. Also like the Centipede, its main weakness is Insecticide.
The Check command of this enemy erroneously places a wrong "It's" instead of the correct "Its".

Groucho[edit | edit source]
File:GrouchoEBBSprite.gif Appearing at both Magicant and its underground, the Groucho can only perform two actions: attack (which is fairly weak) or say "hello" and walk away, giving a large amount of experience. He can also be defeated to give experience to all party members, but the party receives a smaller amount. He is relative to Watchers, Dadseyeses, Momseyeses, and Foureyeses due to nearly identical appearance, shared location, and very similar Japanese names, however, this relation is never explicitly revealed. He also resembles the Specknose from Kid Icarus.
Interestingly enough, if a Flying Man is in your party and Groucho gives experience, the experience will be given to the Flying Man, but since the Flying Man is already at level 99, this won't change the Flying Man's stats.

File:BearEBBSprite.gif The Bear is located around Merrysvile, Mislay Triangle, and Spookane, and acts as a formidable enemy with decent stats on these areas. While being formidable, he gives a large amount of money, which is good for farming when Ninten first enters Merrysvile. Tougher variations are the Polar Bear and the Grizzly Bear.
- Like his cousins, his Check command is based on the popular fairy tale The Story of the Three Bears.

Itoi Base, one Starman can also be fought in the Spookane Hotel after having a one-night stay, however, the fight is optional. The Starman is capable of using PSI Shield α, PK Beam α, and the deadly PK Beam γ. It is advisable to bring a Franklin Badge (obtained from Pippi near Ellay by saying "No" and then "Yes" to her after rescuing her or found in Duncan's Factory) when fighting this foe since his PK Beam γ can be reflected back at him to instantly KO him.
They may also drop a PSI Stone with a 1/16 chance.

BlueStarman[edit | edit source]
File:BlueStarmanEBBSprite.gif The BlueStarman is found in the caves of Mt. Itoi and fights in groups. Despite being slightly stronger than the regular Starman, he's not as much different as the regular Starman by having the same moves except that the BlueStarman can now use PK Beam β.

Cerebrum[edit | edit source]
Gargoyle[edit | edit source]
GrizzlyBear[edit | edit source]
File:GrizzlyBearEBBSprite.gif Located at Mt. Itoi, the GrizzlyBear is not only a stronger variant of both the Bear and Polar Bear but is, by far, the strongest enemy in the game. All of his attacks deal huge amounts of damage that can easily kill party members in a few turns (principally for his last blow attack, which deals massive damage to one party member while sacrificing himself and his continuous attack, dealing around 200 damage in one turn). Due to his insanely high stats, he's often considered by many as the superboss of the game for being even stronger than the final boss.
However, this does not mean he doesn't have weaknesses. Having Ninten placing PowerShields for each party member will render the GrizzlyBear harmless for the duration of the battle, but due to his high speed, it is likely the GrizzlyBear will react first before Ninten. Another strategy is having Ana try PK Beam γ or PK Fire Ω against the enemy since he's not immune to both PSI attacks or having Lloyd use the Super Bomb, which is the same as PK Fire Ω.
- Like his cousins, his Check command is a reference to the popular fairy tale The Story of the Three Bears.

LastStarman[edit | edit source]
File:LastStarmanEBBSprite.gif The LastStarman is located at Mt. Itoi and is the strongest and most powerful of the Starmen race, being stronger than both the Starman and BlueStarman. He no longer uses PK Beam α and his attacks are more powerful. He always fights in groups of three or four and may drop a PSI Stone with a 1/16 chance.
Defeating four LastStarman at once will yield 1320 experience, the largest experience yield of any enemy in the game, and the easiest way to defeat them instantly without using PP is by using a Super Bomb (obtained from the Star Miners from the same area).

Omega Borg[edit | edit source]
Star Miner[edit | edit source]
File:StarMinerEBBSprite.gif The Star Miner is found on Mt. Itoi and acts as a stronger version of the Bomber from Duncan's Factory. It has high offense and defense for a regular enemy and may use Bombs, dealing around 60 damage to all party members, but is not very hard to defeat since it still may waste turns by tripping down.
It has also a 1/16 chance of dropping a Super Bomb, which is perfect for level grinding with the LastStarman of the same area.
