Overview[edit]

The premiere healer of Everquest, the cleric specializes in healing damage, curing ill effects, and increasing the health and toughness of their allies ("buffing").

Through prayer to his deity, the Cleric can summon power to heal allies or hurt his enemies. Clerics gain powerful healing and enhancement spells and AAs, greatly increasing the health and defenses of their group, while keeping them healed in the most dangerous battles. While other classes have healing spells, none can match the power and efficiency of clerical healing. Clerics are considered essential to many higher level groups as their healing powers are needed to conquer the fiercest of monsters.

Along with the use of healing spells, the Cleric also shows great strength when fighting the undead. The Cleric gains access to many offensive spells that will severely injure or destroy undead opponents. Clerics are also highly prized for their ability to resurrect a fallen comrade, restoring him to his body and recovering most of the experience he lost in death.
