Traits are optional modifications you can apply to your character at the beginning of the game. Each trait has a positive and negative effect. You can pick two.

Built to Destroy
Pro - +3% critical hit chance
Con - Weapon condition decays 15% faster

Fast Shot
Pro - When using guns and energy weapons, you fire 20% more quickly, and AP cost (for VATS) for guns and energy weapons is reduced by 20%
Con - You are 20% less accurate

Four Eyes
Pro - +2 Perception when you have glasses equipped
Con - -1 Perception without glasses equipped

Good Natured
Pro - +5 bonus to speech, medicine, repair, science and barter
Con - -5 penalty to energy weapons, explosives, guns, melee weapons, and unarmed

Heavy Handed
Pro - Bonus to melee and unarmed damage
Con - Melee and unarmed do less critical damage

Kamikaze
Pro - +10 Action Points
Con - -2 Damage Threshold

Loose Cannon
Pro - Thrown weapons are 30% faster
Con - Thrown weapons have 25% less range

Small Frame
Pro - +1 Agility
Con - 25% extra limb damage

Trigger Discipline
Pro - Guns and energy weapons are 20% more accurate
Con - When using guns and energy weapons, you fire 20% more slowly, and AP cost (for VATS) for guns and energy weapons is increased by 20%

Wacky Wasteland
Wacky Wasteland is slightly different than the other traits. Selecting this trait adds additional bizarre content and modifies existing content and encounters.
