Go talk to Jo, and tell him about Karl being a drunkard in the Den. You'll get lots of experience points for Modoc's trade. Go to the Tannery, and talk to Balthas. Ask him if he is preoccupied with something, introduce yourself, and then go find Jonny for him. Jonny is in the ghost farm. Balthas will send Laddie with you to help you find Jonny.
