After beating the game and while the credits are rolling:

Wait until the story starts to roll, then press

25 times. Do this before the prologue ends, and start the game. You will now be able to buy as many lives as you can afford for $1000 each in the first shop you enter.
Unlimited weapon time[edit]
Buy all the big engines (Big Wings, Jet Engine, Turbo Engine, and Rocket Engine) before buying a weapon.
Sega Saturn[edit]
Arcade mode[edit]

and press Start on controller two when the "Sega Ages" logo appears after the Sega trademark screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. To insert credits, press the 
button.
Auto rapid[edit]
Play the game and hold down the fire button for three seconds, Auto Rapid will then be added to the option screen.
Music Title[edit]
In the sound test, play "Keep On The Beat" 3 times to make Music Title appear on the Secret Option menu. This feature will toggle the original song title typos.
Continue[edit]
Achieve a Game Over 3 times in one stage. After the third time, a Continue toggle will appear on the Secret Option screen in the Options menu.
Inflation[edit]
Enter the shop, select an item that costs more money than you have, and try to purchase it 3 times. Secret Option will appear, and the new option Inflation will be available. When you set the option to Disable, parts will no longer increase in price after purchasing them.
Shot power[edit]
Purchase a weapon with a time limit (Wide Beam, Laser Beam, or 7-Way Shot) three times in the same stage. Secret Option will appear, and the new option Shot Power will be available. When you set the option to No Decrease, the timed weapons will be unlimited. Once one of these weapons is equipped, the shop will stop appearing.
Bottom Line[edit]
In the Option menu, with the cursor on "Number of Players" at the top, press Up and Down 10 times and a sound will play. This unlocks Bottom Line on the Secret Option screen. This option changes the location of the HUD to the very bottom of the screen.
