As you traverse the floors you'll find a variety of weapons. Only a very few are cursed (and you won't find them until later), so it's safe to equip any weapons you find to discover their Power rating. Their category also affects their effectiveness.
Swords are fairly accurate, and also fairly damaging.

Shurikens[edit]
These are the same weapon that Ninjas throw at you. They only deal 2 damage, but each set can be thrown 3-6 times before it is used up.
