Cottage Chest Tower storehouse.

Everyone knows Lenna here, so you are able to visit most of the castle. There is one doorway that is blocked by a solder who insists you talk to the chancellor before doing anything else. Go inside the castle proper to start a cutscene.

There is a lot to explore in the castle. You start in the west sleeping quarters; exit then go downstairs to a dining area on the 1st floor. Exit south to enter the antechamber, then go north through the double doors to the King's Hall. There are four doors here, but the southwest and southeast doors both connect to the balcony where Lenna and Faris were seen in the cutscene. The northwest door goes to the second floor, with Lenna's room on the left and a stairway on the right. These stairs lead to the King's chambers, but you can't enter while the king is gone. Back at the King's Hall, the northeast door leads to a series of rooms. When you reach the 4th floor check the urns for treasure. From the fifth floor you can reach the roof, which is a dead end but you might remember it from the opening cutscene. Go back to the antechamber and take the east door to a library. The woman there reveals that Lenna's sister was called Sarisa before she was lost. Check for goodies here. Go back and then outside. Find the doorway that was blocked earlier west and down some stairs. This leads to storehouse at the end of an alley. Press the button on the wall to open a secret door, then follow the hidden passage to a room where the chancellor is waiting. Talk to him and he gives you a Healing Staff and leaves. The chests here have equipment for jobs you don't have yet, but there's no harm in collecting them now. Go back to the courtyard and search to the east for a path behind a wall. Go east, then north on to a tower, then enter and go up the stairs to reach another storehouse with a few more goodies.

Walz Watertower[edit]

Now that you have access to the Summoner job, this is also a good time to go after your first rogue eidolon. Shiva is trapped in the Walz Castle Watertower. The recommendeded level for the party should be at least 12. You might have stumbled into the area earlier and faced tough enemies.

From Tycoon, make your way back to Walz Castle and enter the waterfall in the spire. In case you forgot, make your way to the upper battlements and wade in the river that flows through them until you reach the spire.

Navigation is simple here, just go up a level at a time until you reach the 4th floor. The monsters found in Walz Tower can be found here as well so you can still get the Blue Magic spell Toad Song if you had missed it earlier. Make your way to the pulsating light at the center of the room and check it to start a battle.

Shiva, IceComandr x3
Boss level: 11 (Shiva), 4 (IceComandr), Recommended party level: 12
HP: 1500 (Shiva), 600 (IceComandr), Weaknesses: Fire (all), Nullifies: None, Absorbs: None
Gold: 0, ABP: 5, Drops: Ice Rod
Description/Strategy

Preparation: Shiva casts Ice2 each turn and alternates between targeting the front row and back row. If a row is empty she targets a random individual instead. Have two of your characters in the front row and two in back to equalize the damage as much as possible. Your back row characters should both be able to cast Cure and at least one should be able to cast Protes. Having one who can cast Fire will be helpful as well. In your front row have Jobs with powerful attacks such as Knight, Monk, or Berserker. A Sorcerer also works well here.

Tactics: Shiva's minions have strong physical attacks so start by casting Protect on your front row to minimize damage from them, then have fighters eliminate them while having your mages heal. If you have a Sorcerer then cast the sword magic Fire before attacking. Once the minions are defeated mages should start casting Fire on Shiva if possible.

When you win you receive the summon spell Shiva. To exit the tower quickly, enter the door in the south wall and go down a waterfall into an aqueduct where you entered.
