Easterly Falls[edit]

Take the airship to the northwest corner of the world map, submerge, then pilot to the point of interest on the north side of the large bay in the western continent. When you reach a glowing cave, the ship docks itself; exit the sub and go through a small cave to a desert area. Follow the desert northwest until you reach Easterly Falls. Continue into the falls to find an small cave with the two usual guardians. Defeat them as before, and approach the door to have a page of the book open the door as before.

You enter a large room with ledges and waterfalls. There are stairs scattered around for you get to the higher ledges. One monster to look out for here is Dinglberry. It slowly approaches your party without doing anything, but when it gets close enough it will attack three times with enough strength to K.O. one of your characters with each blow. Cast Blink to avoid these attacks since the monster has a high enough HP that you probably wont be able to defeat it in the short time it takes to reach you. Another monster to watch out for is Alcumia, similar to Zefa Zone in the Pyramids only this time she changes a toad into a monster to fight for her.

Go up the center and ride down the falls on the right to grab some treasure on the way. Now go to the left side and get the treasure there. Go back, up the center again and exit at the top. This takes you to a small area with two exits; take the one on the right first to B. 2 Floor.

Wade south then up to a ledge for treasure. Continue to the southeast corner and follow the dark tunnel to another chest. Follow the ledge west to the other side of the room; the pool here is where you land if you take the left exit in the previous room. There is chest on the north ledge here. To get it, change a character to Thief, or equip the Dash ability. Now press the button on the left side of the ledge to stop the flow of water blocking the way, then Dash over to the right and open the chest before the water starts again. Exit in the southwest corner to B. 3 Floor.

Follow the path over the water. Get treasure at two dead ends, then exit south to a room with a save point. From here it's a good idea to have a Geomancer or equip one of your characters with the Findhole ability. Continue to B. 4 Floor. Get the treasure in the small room in the center. Exit the small room and circle to the west of it, avoiding the trap door near the start of a passage leading north. Exit in the northwest corner to a small ledge on the previous floor with treasure. Go back to the B. 4 Floor and get the treasure in the southwext corner, then exit south to B. 5 Floor.

There are buttons here which don't do anything but make crystals pop out of the floor and disappear again. Grab the other chests in the room, then press the button near the chest in the southwest corner to reveal two holes and reach that chest. Get the final treasure and drop down the hole.

Circle to the north, the get the lithograph in the center of the room. When you attempt to leave with the lithograph one of the monsters from the N-zone appears and orders you stop. He calls forth the monster Leviathan to stop you. Leviathan defeats the monster that summoned it, which is nice, and it's now time to defeat Leviathan. But not necessarily; if you want you can just exit the room without fighting so this battle is optional, even if you get the lithograph. But assuming you don't chicken out, check the monster to begin the battle.

Description/Strategy

Preparation: If you have any Coral Rings then now is the time to equip them. If you happen to have four then this battle will be very easy, though getting the 200,000GP to pay for them won't be. But it's perfectly possible to win this battle without these expensive items so we'll assume you don't have any. Magical damage dealing is the key here, so have at least one B. Mages in your party. A Sorcerer equipped with the Enchanter you should have just acquired will do a lot of damage, and Ninja with LgtningSkills will do well also. You will need at least two healers, both with Shell and preferably at least one with Cure3.

Tactics: Leviathan's most powerful attack is Tidal Wave, which it occasionally uses twice in succession. If you don't have Coral Rings equipped then the only way to survive these onslaughts is by having Shell cast on everyone and keeping everyone at nearly full health. But it's probably better to just deal enough damage quickly enough so that the battle is over before Leviathan has a chance to do a double Tidal Wave. The monster is weak to Bolt so use Bolt3 as either a Black or Sword spell to get about 5000HP damage per attack. Have your healers cast Shell when not healing, then Protes if everyone has Shell; hopefully the battle will be over before everyone has Protes. Without Coral Rings there is a certain amount of luck involved here, since you probably won't survive if the monster throws a few Tidal Waves at you before you can get Shell in place. But with enough fire power and good defense your chances will be good.

When the battle is over you get Leviathan as a Summon spell. Exit the dungeon using Telepo or by sliding down the waterfall to the south.
