The only reason to visit Kilika Island during Chapter 2 is for a small percentage of completion and an item. Traveling here will show you a scene with Dona (her words affected by who you sided with) and your path blocked. You can jump onto the boats next to the Save Sphere for a Turbo Ether and Mana Tablet x2 but that is it. Head back to the Airship Celsius after visiting the area.
