The overhead view of the American track.

The American track is located in the bottom-right of the track selection screen, so if you are using MAME to play the game but have not held "9" and pressed "F2" to calibrate the steering, you will still be able to select it; its timer also starts at 50 seconds.

When that counter has appeared on the screen and is counting down from "03" to "00", you should be in low gear with the gas pedal fully down; as you accelerate away from that starting line and pass a staircase for Agip on the right side of the track and a grandstand for Magneti Marelli and Boss Men's Fashion on the left side of the track, you should shift into high gear at about 100 km/h. You will then have to turn to the right as you pass a billboard for Mobil 1 on the left side of the track, another billboard for Kenwood upon the right side of the track, a third billboard for Pirelli on the left side of the track, two more billboards with an arrow pointing to the north-east on them on the left side of the track and a sixth billboard for Geo on the right side of track - and you will now pass a seventh billboard for Casio and two more billboards with an arrow pointing to the north-east on it on the left side of the track, along with two cacti upon that left side of the track. You will then pass a tenth billboard for Goodyear and an eleventh billboard for Agip (which was already on that staircase at the start of this track) on the right side of the track, along with twelve more cacti on both sides of the track, a twelfth billboard for Canon on the right side of the track and a thirteenth billboard for Boss Men's Fashion (much like Agip, this is its second appearance on this track) on the left side of the track before passing under not just one, but four bridges for Pirelli (this is the second, third, fourth and fifth appearances on this track); you will then have to turn to the right, as you pass a fourteenth billboard for Epson F-1 Racing upon the right side of the track, a fifteenth billboard for Fiat Uno on the left side of the track, a sixteenth billboard for Champion on the right side of the track, two more billboards with an arrow pointing to the north-east on them on the left side of the track, and a nineteenth billboard for Pop 84 on that left side of the track. You will then pass two more billboards which have an arrow pointing to the north-east on them on that left side of the track, six more billboards for Mobil 1 on the left side of the track, a twenty-eighth billboard for Renault ELF upon the left side of the track and three more cacti upon the left side of the track, along with a twenty-ninth billboard for Shell on the right side of the track, three final cacti upon the right side of the track, and a thirtieth billboard for Ford on the left side of the track, before passing under a fifth bridge for Mobil 1 (this is its seventh appearance on this track, beating Pirelli's five) - and as with the other three tracks, once you have completed a full lap of the track, that text "TIME EXTENDED LAP TIME XX.XX" (yet again, "XX.XX" being your lap time) will flash up on the screen and you will gain 35 additional seconds of racing time to try to complete another lap. Once you have completed four laps of the track, another woman will wave a chequered flag in front of your car as it races off into the distance; the text "OFFICIAL RESULT" will then appear on the screen with your position (1st-8th) below it. Your distance travelled in metres, your number of laps, your fastest lap time and your ranking will then be displayed below that - and if your total time was lower than 2:26:71 (which is even lower than the minimal total time of 2:47:81 for the Japanese track, the minimal total time of 2:32:00 for the Italian track, and the minimal total time of 2:43:44 for the Monacan track), the game will go into "best-time" mode, so you should enter your initials (yet again, only up to three characters) on the American table with pride. Once you have done so, the game will go back into attract mode - and all four of this game's tracks have been explained to you, so you should decide which one is best for you the next time you play it.
