The overhead map of the Brazilian track.

The Brazilian track is located up in the top-right of the track selection screen, so if you're using MAME to play the game (but haven't held 9 and pressed F2 for calibration), you'll still be able to select it; the timer will start at 60 seconds.

When that traffic light has appeared upon the right side of the screen, and is changing from red to yellow to green, you should be in low gear with the gas pedal fully down; as you accelerate away from the starting line, you should shift into high gear at 100 km/h, then turn to the left, as you're coming up to what is described as Curva do Sol in the gameplay demonstration, and pass a red-and-white striped wall upon the left side of the track and a banner for Shell on the right side of the track. You will then have to turn to the right and turn to the left, as you pass twenty barriers upon the left side of the track - and once you have done so, you will have to turn to the left as you come up to what is described as Descida do Lago, and turn to the left again as you pass another banner for Shell on the right side of the track. You will then have to turn right, then turn left, and turn right again, as you come up to what's described as Bico do Pato, and pass a third banner for Shell on the right side of the track; once you have done so, you will have to turn to the left as you pass a fourth banner for Shell on the left side of the track, and a light-and-dark-gray striped wall on the right side of the track. You will then have to turn to the left as you pass a fifth banner for Shell on the left side of the track and turn to the left again as you come up to the finishing line - and once you have completed a full lap of the track, the text "TIME EXTENDED LAP TIME XX.XX" (yet again, "XX.XX" being your lap time) will flash up on the screen and you will gain 35 extra seconds of time in which to complete another lap of it. Once you have completed four laps of the track, your car will race off into the distance, as the text "OFFICIAL RESULT" appears upon the screen, with your position (1st-8th) below it; your distance travelled in metres and your best lap time will then be displayed below that. If your total time was less than 2:46:45, the game will go into "best-time" mode, so you should enter your initials upon the Brazilian table with pride (for a final time, regardless of which half you are on) - and once you have done so, the game will go back into attract mode, and conclude the Final Lap series after six years and four titles. All four of the tracks have now been explained to you, so you should decide which one is best for you.
