The battle[edit]
There is now another unit you can use, Ilyana. She is a Thunder Mage. She is fragile and can die from enemy attacks so make sure she is protected or out of harms way. Also, there are two Partner Units.
Starting off, you will see a fighter to your right, alone. Have Edward go and defeat him so that he won't creep up on you while you are deep in the battle.
On turn two, two enemy soldiers will appear. One of them will be a normal soldier and the other is a soldier named Aran. Have Laura speak to Aran and he will join you. On easy mode they appear right where you start so don't move Laura too far down the map. On Normal mode, they appear further down on your left, so make sure she is there but don't expose her to the enemy or she will risk being killed.
If you got the Thani from the previous chapter, you will put good use to it again on this one because the boss is also an armoured unit. Once again the boss will fall to the extremely powerful tome. Before you do that, have Sothe steal the skill scroll Discipline, from the boss.
In Easy mode, after you kill the boss, the chapter will end. But in Normal and Hard mode, you will have to escape on the tile that the boss is standing. Have everyone escape before Micaiah (including the Partner units ) because if you escape with Micaiah first the chapter will end and you won't get bonus exp. (To escape with your Partner units, choose the DIRECT command on Micaiah and select the flashing tile.
