Food Fight cpanel.jpg
  • Joystick: Food Fight's joystick is a special kind of 360° joystick that allows you to direct Charley in far more than the standard 8 directions. With this kind of controller, you not only have to ability to direct Charley along very intricate paths, but also the ability to throw food in distinct directions in order to hit your target.
  • Throw: Press the throw button whenever Charley is holding food to huck it in whatever direction he is currently facing. Charley will automatically pick up food whenever he is standing in front of some, so tap the throw button as much as you like until a pile of food is exhausted.
  • 1-2 Players: Press either button to start a one or two player game.

Characters[edit]

Charley Chuck[edit]

Food Fight Charley Chuck.png

Charley Chuck is on a mission: to eat as many ice cream cones as he can. In order to do that, he must start from the right side of the kitchen and run over to the left side where the ice cream cone sits waiting and melting. The task may sound simple, but there are a bunch of chefs who are out to ruin Charley's day by dragging him to the ground, or getting his outfit covered with food. Charley's mom will have a fit if he comes home dirty, so Charley must do everything in his power to avoid getting his clothing messed up. The one thing he can do is give as good as he gets and throw food right back at the chefs. Whenever Charley stands before a pile of food, he always remembers to scoop up a handful in case he needs it later. In fact, whenever Charley reaches an ice cream cone, he starts the next stage with any food that he was holding in his hands.

The four Chefs[edit]

Ice cream headaches are not Charley's worst enemy. The four chefs, Chef Oscar, Chef Angelo, Chef Jacques, and Chef Zorba, are mortified that anyone would dare pass up their delicious delicacies in favor of having a cone of ice cream, and they're going to make sure that Charley gets the message. They rise out of holes that are positioned all around the kitchen, and will do anything they can to bring Charley down, whether it's getting their hands on him, or throwing some of their ingredients at him. Being chefs, they're used to getting a little food on themselves, but presentation is everything. So if Charley hits them with some food, they run to the back to get a clean new outfit, and return to the action through one of the holes. If a chef hits another chef with food, or a chef falls into one of the existing open holes, they will be taken out of play temporarily as well.

Ice Cream[edit]

Collecting the Ice Cream is Charley's one and only objective. It always sits on the left side of the kicthen, just waiting to be eaten. But, like all ice cream, it's prone to melting, and the kitchen is quite warm. So warm, in fact, that all of the ice cream will melt away in approximately 32 seconds. If such a fate befalls the ice cream, Charley loses one chance, so don't let that happen.

Throwing food[edit]

Every stage has an arrangement of food scattered throughout the kitchen. Knowing which types of food are good for what situations are the keys to battle.

Food Fight Bananas.png Bananas are terrific long range weapons that have a pretty wide area of effect. They spin through the air as they fly, which reduces the need for accuracy as you are throwing them. Banana only stages end with a 6.
Food Fight Peas.png Peas have the shortest range of all the food, but they fan out quite extensively as they fly. Therefore, if a chef is somewhere nearby, and you throw peas in their general direction, you're probably going to hit them. Forget peas, however, if the chefs are on the other side of the room. Pea only stages end with an 8.
Food Fight Pies.png Pies have a long range, but are not very wide, so you have to be fairly accurate when you throw them. Pie only stages start on stage 13 and every tenth stage thereafter.
Food Fight Tomatoes.png Tomatoes are very much like Pies. They can travel pretty far, but unless you throw them in the right direction, they're not likely to help you much. Tomato only stages start on stage 11 and every tenth stage thereafter.
Food Fight Watermelon.png In the world of Food Fight, Watermelons are a special magical kind of food: the kind that never runs out. You can stand on a watermelon, and throw pieces of it all day, and it will never get any smaller. This is both good and bad since it holds true for the chefs as well. Special care must be taken when advancing through stages that contain watermelons. Watermelon only stages end with a 5 and mixed Watermelon stages end with a 0.
