Like the last time, Pinkle will contact you when you arrive. Go south and a little east to find Duke again. Pay him 200 rupees to get the bridge fixed. A little more to the east and bit to the north is the Look-What-I-Found Kid who is willing to part with the Cape Treasure map for 100 rupees. Keep walking to the east. Immediately on the next screen, you'll see a paper-like object on a wall. Touch it to reveal the ninja a second time. When he's gone, go north of the sunbathing woman. Keep walking to find a small dog. "Talk" to him to be able to feed him a Bone (or more if you feel like it). He'll leave and so should you. Go back to the landing spot. Go all the way north, past a Bodyguard Salon sign. Go east after that until you find a man passed out in front of a Stalfos statue. He's the Journalist. Talk with him to hear him pining for a certain juice. Go to Port Town to find that the café now is open. In front of it lies a diary that belongs to Journalist that indicates where he is if he isn't in town. Pay the woman behind the counter 40 rupees to get her to talk to you.

Ask for "Simple Juice". Pay 150 rupees to get the recipe. Go to your house to make Simple Juice. Put it in a Bottle and bring it to the Journalist. Ask 800 rupees as your reward and touch the skeletal structure in front of you. A gate you should've seen when coming here will open. Go through it. Go to the utmost left part and touch the skull on the wall to open another gate leading to a treasure chest. Open it if you want, return and follow the lower road on your right. Keep walking until you reach the docks. Watch the cutscene, then talk to the pirate in front of you. Watch the next cutscene. When the First Mate asks you whether you want to join, answer "Yes" to become a Trainee Pirate. When you can move again, talk to the First Mate to get off the boat. You now are on the pirate's mini-island. Follow the First Mate. Note the small boat on your left. This is your way of transport between Cape Treasure and this mini-island from now on. Go right and enter the huge skull.

Pirate Hideaway[edit]

Pay 500 rupees to enter the Pirate Hideaway. Continue and approach the pirates to talk with the First Mate. Blow up the cracked wall with the Bomb Flower. Continue and hear what the First Mate has to say. You'll now have to find three Pirate Items to be eligible to enter the door behind the First Mate and meet their Captain. Walk a little further and when the road splits (one up, one left), go up. Talk with the pirate near the Hand Sculpture to receive a Bottle and Hand Potion. Do as he says by throwing the Hand Potion on the Hand Sculpture.

You'll be teleported outside by what looks like a Wallmaster. Enter Pirate Hideaway again and return to the pirate near the Hand Sculpture to receive the Hand Potion recipe. Now follow the route leading to the left. Continue until you reach the kitchen. The Cook will ask you to help him get rid of the eight cockroaches crawling around in the kitchen. Six of them are walking around and should be easily found and killed. One is hiding in/under the barrel in lower right corner. Push it a little to get the cockroach outside. The final one is hiding under the shaking table in the upper left corner. Touch it to reveal the final cockroach. You might also have noticed the green rat crawling around. You don't have to kill it. If you do, though, the Cook will remark that he wonders where his pet has gone to.

Regardless, you can now enter the gate north of the kitchen. Keep walking until you see a pirate and a boat. You can ask the pirate how to use the boat at the cost of 30 rupees. Otherwise, just ignore him and hop on the boat. Pedal the boat to the next dock and get off. Go up the stairs and bomb the cracked wall to make an opening for a small bodyguard to get through and get a Rupee Good. Return to the boat and pedal to the dormitory's dock. Enter the dormitory. The two interesting characters here are the Merchant and the pirate in the lower left corner. Talk to the pirate to be sent for a medicine for his stomach ache. Go back to the boat and pedal to the next dock. Get off and keep walking until you see another Bomb Flower and a cracked wall. Bomb it and continue to find another boat.

Pedal all the way to the left, then up. Get off the boat and up the stairs. Talk with the pirate. He'll ask you to sort the barrels. You'll have to push three barrels into the left "Full" area and three into the right "Empty" area. You have to figure out which barrels are full and which ones are empty by paying attention to how difficult (or easy) it is to move them and the sound they make. When you are finished, talk to the pirate again to get your first Pirate Item. Go back to the boat and head right, then up. Pick up the Bomb Flower and blow up the cracked wall to reveal another opening for a small bodyguard (Rupee Good). Return to the boat and head right, then up. Ignore the first dock since that is the one you initially came from. Just a little further is a second dock. Get off there and continue.

You'll see a third boat, so hop on to continue. You can ignore the first dock you encounter, since there are only enemies there. Get off at the second dock and go up the stairs. Go right until you get another chance to blow up a wall with the aid of a Bomb Flower. Proceed to find a floor-button. Step on it to open the gate next to it and gain access to a treasure chest containing a Bottle. Return to the stairs near the boat and go left. Blow up the wall with the Bomb Flower here (you might want to get rid of the enemies first).

Once the wall is gone, you'll see a pirate wearing glasses. He's the Engineer. Talk to him, then follow him. Talk to him again. Answer "Yes" to receive the medicine (Jellyfish Powder) the pirate in the dormitory was asking for. Return to the dormitory to give the Jellyfish Powder to him. You'll then receive your second Pirate Item. Watch the cutscene. Now head to the kitchen as you've been ordered to do. Talk with the Cook and enter the store room. Watch the cutscene. Follow Barkle and talk to him. Now return to the Cook's assistant's head and talk to him. Go down and search his body for your final Pirate Item.

Leave and go back to the First Mate. Enter the door he was blocking earlier. Head down several stairs. You get a chance to go left after a couple of stairs, instead of heading down yet more stairs. Go left if you have a medium bodyguard with you to find a locked door. Get the bodyguard to open it and continue to find the final Rupee Good in this dungeon. Return to the stairs and continue. Touch the large gate to open it. Enter the big treasure chest to confront Pirate Hideaway's boss.

Captain Stalfos[edit]

  • Captain Stalfos is a huge Stalfos who wants you dead so you can become a pirate. You have to fight this battle alone; your bodyguard can't help you. You have a healthbar this time: a yellow bar under a picture of your head on the upper screen. Captain Stalfos' healthbar can be found next to Tingle's. It's recommendable to keep an eye on it. Captain Stalfos will mostly spit fireballs (which turn into fire pillars) which you have to avoid. Once in a while, he'll charge a punch. About halfway the charging until right before he releases it, you have to jump. If successful, you'll see the message "Touch". Quickly tap it to get Tingle to attack Captain Stalfos. This works exactly like a normal battle, so keep tapping the screen. Eventually, Tingle will have to retreat and you have to repeat the process until Captain Stalfos is dead.

If you win, you have a limited time to pick up all the rupees Captain Stalfos left. Unlike last time, your bodyguard won't help you to collect them and they bounce all over the lower part of the screen, making it a little harder to get them. The maximum you can get for defeating Captain Stalfos is 3000 rupees. You'll also get your second Super Rupee, Aqua.

You'll be teleported outside and one of the pirates will talk to you. Follow him when he leaves to find the rest of the crew. You'll receive the Bone Ocarina from them before they leave. Return home and go to the Tower. Donate 4000 rupees to make it grow once more. Leave for Lon Lon Meadow.
