The Tien Hamir bridge is a strategically important objective. During the briefing, the squad claims that they're exhausted after having to go through two major battles, but the captain is pushing them on regardless.

Link up with Capt. Smithson[edit]

Enter the alley to the north. When you first reach the crate, there will be one insurgant in the alley that starts the attack, although he will likely be close to a civilian. However, he will frequently move from cover to cover, likewise giving an opportunity to maneuver or perform precision fire.

When the first is killed and you advance half way through the alley, a second insurgent appears at the end of the alley.

The game recommends sending one team into the building to watch over the approach to the Smithson. There are two windows that should be occupied, and you can split one of the teams to cover both windows. This allows you to ensure the team crossing the open terrain doesn't get attacked from behind.

When approaching Smithson, head to the right of the building. Bravo will be looking down the left alley and eliminate enemies as they approach.

Defend against attack[edit]

Captaion Smithson gives you the briefing of the next step, but first you will need to defend against incoming attacks. Send one team to the marked south-east corner, to engage enemies approaching from the alley. The second team should move to the south-west window, engaging enemies approaching from the direction you arrived from.

When the Bradley moves in, you should have half of one team watch over the bridge from the building window, giving a high view of enemies that approach.

Cross the bridge[edit]

Looking over the Tien Hamir bridge from the building.

Crossing the bridge requires a bit of effort. You need to bring the Bradley across the bridge, but there are both RPG enemies and anti-tank mines in the way. You have three mortar fire requests available - you can aim these towards the infantry across the bridge, or towards the rail bridge to take out an RPG soldier.

The game recommends moving one team to the divider, and advancing on the left. It then directs you to advance the Bradley just infront of the blocking debris. The bradley can perform covering fire with the machine gun, or use the main cannon to eliminate enemies.

When your team advances to the left, they will approach the anti-tank mines. They will also need to aim a fire sector to the right-hand side of the bridge, as an RPG soldier takes cover there.

When you hear an announcement about an incoming attack from behind, quickly move to cover as both your teams are likely exposed from this attack.

To disarm the mines, order one member of the team to interact with each line mine. Move your team out of blast radius, and use the reporting menu to blast them one by one.

Northern bridge[edit]

Even though the mines are destroyed, the Bradley will refuse to advance unless the bridge is inspected by your infantry. Have the infantry advance ahead of the Bradley, and they will mention the left-hand side is safe to advance.

When you move the Bradley ahead, there will be an RPG soldier advancing on the rail bridge. He is easily defeated by direct fire.

There are still land mines, but you can only remove two of them. You will first need to clear the area ahead, by removing the sniper from the window, and then the two enemies that attack at ground level.

Disarm the mines in the same manner, although only the middle and right-hand mines may be detonated. Move the Bradley ahead.

BMP[edit]

Across the bridge is a BMP. Engage it with the Bradley to destroy it, and have the infantry take defense at the marked location.
