Referral Event[edit]
Between December 20th, 2006 and January 10th, 2007 players were encouraged to promote the game by getting their friends to play. The incentive was to have the new player add their veteran friend's name as a referral. If this was done and together they completed all 10 mission license mode missions on easy difficulty, then both would receive an additional 300 chrome.
Christmas Day Event 2006[edit]
Between December 13th and January 3rd the game has been themed for the holidays, also with two additional features:
- A special holiday themed Battle License map with themed Candy Cane weaponry and Snowball grenades (available through Snowman head icon power-ups).
- Holiday themed user interface, where the bottom panel featuring stats is ribboned with green white and red colors.
Thanksgiving Event 2006[edit]
Between November 22nd and December 6th (after extension), players were able to gain prize packages consisting of various equipment and items. These rewards were given for completing missions on a given day or a total amount of missions over 2 or more days. For example 10 missions in a single day gave players a "Regular Infantry Package" (consisting of a Dyneema Jacket, Blue Booster and 5 pack of Power Grenades) whereas 30 missions over two days rewarded players with a "Support Package" (consisting of a Dragonov, Laser Sight, Red Booster, and 5 pack of Poison Bullets). Completing over 50 missions over 3 or more days rewarded players with a "Gunster Package", which contained a Skorpion, Dyneema Jacket, Blue Booster, 5 pack of Fire Bullets, and the character Soul.
Additionally, between November 26th-29th, from 3-5pm Pacific Time on each day, players were able to interact with select GM's from the game. The 26th and 27th featured the GM's in the Mission License area, allowing players to play levels on either Normal or Hard difficulty with the two GM's morye and capcomkidz. If a level was completed, players were rewarded with a prize. On the 28th and 29th however, GM's played 4v4 matches in the Battle License area (4 GM's and 4 players, with 2 on each side to mix teams) and players who won were given 500 chrome and entered into a raffle to win one of the following:
- A 4GB iPod nano.
- A PSP.
- A Nintendo DS Lite.
- An EB Games gift card.
- A Nike gift certificate.
- An Abercrombie and Fitch gift card.
- A Best Buy Gift card.
- A Gap gift card.
As a result, five different people (4 for the Best Buy gift card) were given gift cards for each card (24 total) and 3 people were given one of the more expensive gifts (1 winner for each), with 27 winners in total.
