Hanii in the Sky Stage 3a.jpg

When you first enter this stage, don't forget to check your weapons, and enable the Double Blades weapon that you obtained by defeating the second stage boss. This weapon is just like the Double Sword weapon that lets you fire in two opposite directions, but it is much stronger than the Double Sword. In fact, if you opt to return to the first stage, you will find that you have a much easier time getting through it with this weapon, so you can use that as an opportunity to accumulate some points and buy potions to increase your health meter.

  1. First you will encounter several groups of insects that appear in clusters of six. They appear from the top of the screen and fly down to the bottom, and the next cluster may appear before the previous one is off the screen. Shoot as many as you can and fly through or around the remainder. These enemies are tough, so fighting with a weapon at least as strong as the Double Blades is recommended.
  2. Next, you will face enemies that resemble frogs slightly. The appear from the upper left or upper right, and remain near the top of the screen. They try to remain directly above you and shower bullets at you when they are lined up. It can be tricky to shoot them as their bullets stop your bullets, so you have to move over a bit in order to hit them. Shooting diagonally can help too, but they constantly move to wind up above you. Pairs of insects will continue to appear from time to time.
  3. The landscape that you fly over will have gaps in it. You will see an enemy fly beneath you from the bottom of the screen to the top. Then six enemies which resemble spiders will appear from the top of the screen and drop down to the bottom, each appearing from a slightly different location. Your best bet is to remain near the bottom of the screen, and fire at them horizontally while you maneuver between them.
  4. Hanii in the Sky Stage 3b.jpg
After the spiders, a large vessel will appear from the left side of the screen. This vessel will have nodes along every side. The nodes double as guns. In order to destroy the vessel, you must destroy every node around the outside. Depending on how quickly you defeat the vessel, you may see a cluster of insects.
  5. After destroying the first vessel, two more smaller ones will appear, first from the right, and then from the left. They will work their way across the screen. Do your best to remove the nodes that are pointed in each vessel's direction before working on the remainder, since those will be the hardest to hit after the vessels travel for too long.
  6. After some more clusters of insects from the top of the screen, groups of enemies will appear from the bottom of the screen and travel up. Don't get too comfortable along the bottom of the screen, try to remain in the center so that you have enough time to react to them when they appear.
  7. The stage finishes off first with wave after wave of falling spiders. Then more groups of the enemies which rise from the bottom of the screen will attack before the boss appears.

Boss: たじからお (Tajikarao?)[edit]

Hanii in the Sky boss 3.jpg

The boss of the third stage resembles an orb with different parts of a face on different sides. Once it starts moving, it moves in a circle rotating around the center of the screen. As it moves, it deposits green copies of itself which slowly move in whatever direction Hanii is in. It will sometimes choose to reverse direction as it travels around the circle.

The most dangerous place to be in for this fight is the middle of the screen. You are much better off trying to occupy one of the lower corners. The upper corners are not as safe because your movement is limited there. Try to focus as much of your fire on the main red sphere. The green copies will block your shots. At times it can become unsafe, and you will have to shoot down the green copies to create a path to safety. Once you are in a better location, resume focusing your shooting at the boss until it is defeated.
