"Doodle City" is the alternative to the game; a drawing tool that shows off what the game's mathbox can really do. To get started, push your Firing Button to choose an object - and all the objects used in the game are here, including the rarely-seen ones that appear when you hit a Meteor in a space wave. Pressing the first player's Start Button switches between painting and a blank screen; painting with an object will leave a trail of that object. The second player's Start Button selects between spinning the object in three axes - and pressing both Start Buttons together brings up a menu of more options, including mirrors on the "X" or "Y" axes, along with six different orbit patterns. You can also turn on a recorder, which plays back what you have just painted, turn music on or off, select from different colour palettes, turn flicker on or off, and you even have the option to go back to the game (from the start, if you have got here through use of the transporter), depending on how much time you have remaining; however, for every minute you have spent doodling, one of the robot's lives shall have been taken away from him. But if you had got here through use of the transporter, you will have to play through the early levels again - and possibly earn enough points through doing so to replace the lives you have lost.
